I want to start by saying if you’re looking for Botox, Macy Wise is the girl!!!!! I had an amazing experience from start to finish, the front desk staff was super kind and welcoming. From the moment Macy pulled me back she was kind, informative, and allowed for me to ask all of the questions I had. Not to mention- my results are AMAZING. I love how we were able to achieve plastic surgery looking results with just facial balancing with dysport. Thank you so much Macy and the team at Westlake Dermatology Central Lamar!

If I could give more stars I would! Dr. Shahbaz was highly recommended by a friend so I came in to see him and will never go anywhere else now. His bedside manner was very thoughtful, caring and reassuring. He practices evidence base medicine and can tell he is up to date in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, lasers and injectables! After moving to Tarrytown from out of town I was hesitant of finding a new doctor. I can confidently say he is an expert in his craft! Westlake Dermatology is lucky to have him as a dermatologist!

I went to Westlake Derm about 10 years ago (downtown location), they were wonderful and thorough. They checked every inch of me for bad moles. So I returned (triangle location). They didn’t check any moles unless I pointed them out, they wouldn’t remove the ones that irritated me the most even though my insurance covers 2 a year, they then removed one mole (thankful) and now billing me. I won’t be returning.

Do not trust them to bill your insurance correctly, they outsource billing to some firm in Florida. There are better dermatologists with competent billing and front office staff in Austin for basic medical appointments. I will never go back to Westlake Dermatology.

Not a good experience whatsoever. Always a pain to reach their staff. I told them my insurance ahead of time and they said they have absolutely no way to estimate what my cost would be for a standard mole removal. Ended up costing me $1400. I was worried about the healing and sent pics, they responded it looks fine. Then when I went to get stitches removed they said “yikes that looks bad and like you’re having a reaction to the stitches”. Ended up with a huge scar. I put on a payment plan and when I paid it off early, I had to call 3 times (including their offsite billing team) to try and get my auto pay turned off and card removed. Back and forth with billing team and office who finally confirmed I had a $0 balance, and then was auto charged anyway. So now I have to wait until Monday to call again for my refund.
