Aura Head Spa | Montclair

I had really high expectations going into my appointment after reading all the reviews. When I first got there it was a very pleasant experience but after that it was far from it. Firstly, for how much you pay you would think you get a private room or at least semi private with a door where there is maybe one other person this place is far from that. It’s an open space where you can hear any noise around you. They do tell you to speak quietly at a whisper however it was still noisy. The person working on the person next to me continuously made loud noises including dropping the hot stones and the thing they use to wash your hair which left me unable to relax most of my service. Secondly, I got the jelly mask as an add on and since that covers your eyes and mouth I had to lay there while my hair was washed with extremely hot water as I was unable to speak. I was sent a questionnaire to fill out before hand and I wonder why bother asking me those questions if you do not plan on sticking to it during the service. Lastly, after the service is finished they bring you back upstairs where you can dry your hair. It was 4 of us all done at the same time making the space feel extremely crowded. To make matters worse there are only 3 changing rooms so it was hard to get in and change after my service as they were all occupied. Overall I feel this is just another one of those places you see advertised on tic tok that does not meet expectations. Maybe because this is located in Montclair they feel this price is justified however the only good part of my service was the mini facial and face mask so I will definitely not be returning and paying another $200.

Our girls’ day out at Aura Head Spa was nothing short of amazing. There were four of us basically taking over the spa, and I’m still not sure how the ladies so gracefully put up with our excitement and chatter but they did. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The salon had such a welcoming vibe that you instantly felt comfortable walking in. Gabby took care of me, and she was truly incredible. She has heavenly hands and put me into a state of relaxation I didn’t even know was possible. What stood out even more was how attentive she was. She could tell I was completely immersed in the experience, and whenever she needed to ask a question, she did so in the softest, most soothing voice so it never disturbed my peace. I genuinely would have stayed there for another hour… or seven. After our services, we were brought to an area where we could dry our hair and hang out together. We used the amazing Dyson hair dryers, took our time getting ready, and then headed out for a lovely lunch feeling so relaxed we could barely function (in the best way possible). The whole experience was incredible. My friends and I left in a complete state of euphoria. Aura Head Spa did not disappoint, and we absolutely cannot wait to go back.

I will start by saying the spa is aesthetically very beautiful and pleasing. Front desk greeted right away and were pleasant . We were asked to change into a wrap towel and nonslip socks provided by the spa. I am a pretty petite girl (5’2, 135lbs, 34C bra) and I had to have the towel on the absolute last snap for moderate comfort . In addition the non slip socks provided were uncomfortable , but I did hear an aesthetician say to a male client that they are one size and he can wear his own socks , so that may be an option. The actual service was amazing. Aesthetician was great. Ambience was extremely relaxing and quiet. There is a noticeable difference in my hair and scalp today. Overall I would recommend this spa.

What an amazing experience! I did the Classic Head Spa (50 minutes) and it was incredibly relaxing. My scalp feels so clean and refreshed now. I loved it so much that I’ll definitely be signing up for the monthly membership. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit and it was such a relaxing experience. I truly enjoyed the signature head spa my hair feels incredibly soft and has such a beautiful shine afterward. The scratching therapy was my favorite part. It was so calming and therapeutic, and I left feeling completely refreshed. The staff was also very kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
