LAB Salon + Brow Studio

I'd like to start off by saying, I'm very intentional when I travel to support LOCAL businesses. That being said I was excited I found this salon and they where able to squeeze me in same day for a blowout. Unfortunately upon arriving, I was greeted by the receptionist who check me in clearly seeing I had my daughter with me and told me I could have a seat and wait. After waiting 10-15mins, I was then greeted by the stylist who should have done my service to be told they have a strict NO CHILDREN or guest policy and that the policy was sent over to me prior to the appointment via email. That if I could have someone pickup my daughter and they could perform the service. First I would like to address the fact the policy was not sent to me via email because upon booking they did not ask for my email. Secondly how disappointing that this is a women owned business and they chose to implement a no children policy. Sadly I can not base this review on a service that was performed but only on customer service and policy and I would not recommend this business based solely on the policies and the way this situation was handled.

This salon is the BEST in the Pittsburgh area. The vibes are impeccable and the place is decorated beautifully. Everyone is so friendly, professional, and it feels like a community. I have gone there for many services and am always impressed and feel at home while I’m there. If you’re getting brows or lashes done, Alina is amazing!! I’ve slowly transitioned getting all my services done there over the past year and will continue to go back. Thank you!!!

I always love getting my hair done at Lab Salon! The environment is so relaxing and clean. I’ve been getting my hair done by Gianna since 2021 and she always nails the color and look I ask for whether it’s blonding or darkening to my natural hair color (3 pictures includes in this review to show different styles we’ve done)! She helped me achieve the perfect summer blonde for my wedding in 2024 and is always helping keep my hair healthy! I highly recommend booking with her and checking out this salon.

Darla is fantastic! This was my first experience with extensions and the process went so smoothly. I had my hair colored with Abby 1 week prior and the color match Darla did on the extensions was perfect. I really appreciate that these ladies were able to collaborate and create beautiful hair for me. Thank you again for beautiful hair that I am absolutely obsessed with!

I will not be returning after my recent visit. I was disappointed with the color and cut there, but I had been a longtime brow client. I have never felt less welcome in an establishment and this the first review I have ever written. I arrived for a 15-minute brow touch-up with my infant son and my mother who was there to supervise. Instead of a welcome or greeting, the owner rushed to aggressively state that children are not allowed in the salon as they are “a liability.” While I understand and respect policies, this was not shared in the confirmation email or easily visible in the booking system. If it was missed by a client, it could have been delivered in a much more respectful manner. The delivery was so jarring that after seeing our reaction they offered the ability to stay because it was a short appointment. To be respectful of the policy, my mother waited in the car with my son during the appointment. Ironically, a dog in the salon has free rein and jumped onto my treatment table during this very visit.
