Ober Yahr Electrolysis

They get as much as two stars as they will refund your money if you are unhappy with the treatments and you stop early enough on. That is about the only positive, though. My very first session seemed to go well enough as a total newbie to electrolysis - it was nowhere near as painful as laser, and my electologist zapped every hair she removed. My second session raised major red flags, though. It is a pretty obvious feeling, being zapped versus someone just tweezing hairs - and so it was quite obvious that unlike my first session, she was merely tweezing the cast majority of my hairs, and poorly at that, leaving that part of my face raw/a little bloody. Well, I figured, maybe she had to do that because my skin was so dry or something, making implausible excuses. My next session was even worse, though - something like 10 hairs zapped to a hundred yanked out of my face. The results were showing too - which was absolutely no results, as you would expect for not actually removing the hairs with the permanent method you are paying for. I do not know how they thought they would get away with that unless they felt comfortable to try to rip me off because I was wearing a blindfold in the procedure (and nevermind I could then feel what was being done all the better, apparently). I anyways cancelled all my future appointments and pointed out it is because I was paying them to do electrolysis, not tweezing, for which their answer was at first to try peeing on my head and tell me it is raining, i.e. act like they didn't know what I meant, then they gave me my money back. Said money of course didn't include tips or the gas money I spent just to get to the place, nor does it represent the emotional damage this gave me. I am now frankly too suspicious to try others electrolysis venues, because I suspect they might all do something similar to milk you hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars. I really needed this procedure, though, as being a woman with a full beard has been ruining my life. This whole experience was then very unfair to me if it just happens to be this studio that is in to conning. I anyways would recommend to give them a pass if you are looking for a good electrologist.

Alyssa is the best! She’s professional and very sweet. She makes the painful hours of hair removal fly by! She even has this great sticker about legalizing crying 🥲. Overall, Ober-Yahr is a great place for electrolysis. I’ve been going for years and highly recommend 🧔‍♀️➡️👩

It was my first time having some hair removal done. Ally went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. It was a a true pleasure to work with her. I was so comfortable I drifted off. Looking forward to the next appointment. Ally is the one to go for, if you need an appointment.

I've been seeing Alyssa since July 2024 for treatments. I've gone from being an old lady with unwanted facial hair to having a face as soft as a baby's bottom. She's a talented and dedicated professional who is pleasant to be with during appointments. I have total trust in her.

I’ve received almost weekly electrolysis treatments from Ally for a few months and have seen real improvement. I’ve had electrolysis from other estheticians and my hair growth didn’t slow at all so I’m glad to have found Ally. She does a great job of treating the areas without causing bruises or burns. She also is really great to talk to and very gentle!
