Milan laser Hair Removal

I have been receiving treatment at S Akin office for a little over a year. I started in Monroeville about three years ago. The reason so long is I kept getting sun exposure and held up treatments, but I’m extremely satisfied with my results. I’m receiving a Brazilian and it’s so nice to throw on a bathing suit and not have to worry about little hairs sticking out. The technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. everyone is so nice. They keep you up to date about appointments and they are very accommodating.

Veda and the rest of the team/technicians here are some of the most professional staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with, repeatedly reaching out and trying to stay on top of treatment plans even when it slips you own mind. Extremely kind and friendly, it takes a situation which can be awkward and anxiety inducing, and turns it into something you might actually look forward to. The technicians have always been understanding , knowledgeable and very forthcoming about any curiosities or questions that might cross you mind and concerned with quality of care in its entirety above all else with each visit. Cannot comment on the staff at any other location, but the S. Aiken team are absolutely fantastic!

The shadyside location is an Excellent Milan clinic. I think it is the best place in Pittsburgh for laser hair removal with great results. The staff there especially Halle goes above and beyond to accommodate us. Always very professional and knowledgeable and receptive to our needs. The new full time nurse Molly is excellent- very skilled. Gaby is always helpful in scheduling our appointments even in other clinics. I think it is a great clinic!

The quality of hair removal and the expertise of the nursing staff is excellent. I am very happy with my results. However, the treatments are VERY expensive and part of the expense is predicated on the fact that you receive free touch ups for life with the cost. I have three treated areas of my body which cost somewhere between $7000 and $10000. I have one very small area where I have hormonal hair regrowth that necessitates treatment every 10-12 weeks (not Milan's fault, is a function of the hormonal nature of the hair growth and I am fine with getting touch-ups 4x a year there). However, after my initial course of treatment I was told that I cannot schedule standing appointments for these touch ups and need to call when I need to be treated (the touch up appointment takes 5 minutes and is a focal area of my lip and chin--the last time I was there the treatment was 6 shots of the laser). Since that time, every time I have called for a touch up, it has been anywhere from 6-10 weeks before I can be offered an appointment for the 5 minute touch-up. I have no doubt that this is a policy that is in place to limit the number of touch up appointments and optimize profit and is misleading marketing and deceitful. Compared to 10 treatments at my MedSpa, the Milan prices were 3x higher but I paid it because of the touch ups being included. Had I known how difficult they would make it to actually schedule these I never would have paid the money and would have instead have booked through my MedSpa. Really disappointing.

Great experience! Today was my second treatment and I’ve only shaved twice in between treatments which is amazing for me. My skin feels smooth and the treatments are quick and pretty comfortable.
