As someone with EXTREME dental anxiety, I avoided dental care for far too long – to the point that it seriously impacted my oral health. When I finally gathered the courage to seek help, my daughter and her husband recommended their dentist, Dr Johnson and her amazing team, and I’m so grateful she did. From the very first visit, the staff put me at ease. They were kind, understanding, and completely non-judgmental. While the news about my teeth wasn’t easy to hear (I needed full-mouth extractions and “all on five” implants on both top and bottom), I never once felt alone in the process. Every step of the way, Dr. Johnson and her team have provided exceptional care, patience, and reassurance. Dr. Johnson is a true perfectionist – and in the best way possible. Her experience, skill, and confidence gave me the peace of mind I needed to move forward. The procedure itself is a long and sometimes challenging journey, but Dr. Johnson has made it as smooth, stress-free, and pain-free as possible. I genuinely wouldn’t trust another dentist at this point. A special shout out to Lauren, who is an absolute gem! She’s incredibly skilled, warm, and knows exactly how to help patients like me manage anxiety. Her positive energy and professionalism have made a world of difference – I actually look forward to my appointments because of her. She’s truly an asset to the practice! I’ve even referred my own mother here, which says everything about the trust I have in this team! I’m still in the healing process, but I already know my final restoration is going to be perfect. If you’re nervous about dental work, or have been putting it off due to fear, please do yourself a favor and book a visit with Dr. Johnson. You’ll be in the best hands possible. I called South Hills Dental Arts the morning after breaking a molar, and they fit me in right away that morning - a few hours later, I left with a fully repaired tooth / crown. I was very impressed with the overall process, specifically that the team was able to mold and make the crown, prep the molar, and then complete the entire process in one visit. Everyone on the team was really pleasant and professional - and they quickly put my mind at ease with what could have been a very stressful procedure.

I was in the area on business for an extended period and I lost my crown (for the third time in less than a year). My employer is a patient at the Upper St. Clair office and highly recommended them. I was going to wait until I returned home and so glad I didn't wait! From the first phone call with Joan, my consultation/appointment with Dr. Z and every one I came in contact with was nothing but exceptional professionalism, service and friendliness. Dr. Z provided me with options and discussed each one with me. They were able to make a new crown and implant it in the same day! I would highly recommend their services! If I lived in town they would be my dental office of choice! Thank you so much!

I scheduled an appointment after confirming with both my insurance (MetLife) and the office that they were in-network. I was charged in full and told my secondary insurance would reimburse me in a few weeks. Months later, I learned the doctor who did the crown was actually out-of-network with my primary, which made the bill much higher. Communication and follow-up were poor, and I still have over $200 balance and no clear refund timeline. I made multiple follow-ups and still haven’t received clear explanations or a refund timeline. This was a frustrating experience that could have been avoided with accurate provider-level network disclosure. They provide poor communication. Be sure to confirm the exact provider’s in-network status (not just the office), and ask for an itemized plan of benefits and estimate before treatment. It's been frustrating experience for me.

Patient care is in this office has been fantastic. My dental care has been great and im happy with my smile!
