Everything about me and my sister’s experience was amazing! From the booking with Lynn, which was a wonderful time with lots of laughs to the excellent service we received with Eternity and Gale, it was a time to remember! The ambiance of the main room was gorgeous and set you in the mood of relaxation. The teas served were on point and the Valentines Day treats were the cherry on top of the cake. My Esthetician Xylina was remarkable and even put me to sleep! lol. Best facial I’ve ever had! Please give all of your workers raises! They all deserve nothing less than the best for giving us the best experience! I would highly recommend coming back to Woodhouse Spa in Detroit. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful experience! The spa is on the lower level, and it's nice and quiet and dark down there. Everything smelled so nice---from the essential oil diffusers throughout the spa to the robes. The waiting area was very nice--they had a little variety of snacks, water, and offered tea and wine. Unique was my massage therapist and did a great job. The table was nice and heated, and I loved the hot towels and peppermint oil Unique had. The staff were very friendly. Note: Make sure you scan the QR code at check out to get your parking validated. Also keep in mind a 20% gratuity is added automatically to your total. Definitely recommend! Plus, you're in a great location. I made sure to stop at The Lip Bar and Avalon Bakery after. :)

Woodhouse Day Spa Downtown Detroit Unfortunately, this was not the Valentine’s Day experience we expected, and we will not be returning. We booked couples massages for Valentine’s Day at 12:30 PM, scheduled well in advance. My wife was dropped off at the door at 12:15 PM while I parked the car. She checked us in, and shortly after, we were both taken to change. When I was brought to the massage room, I immediately let the staff know this appointment was supposed to be a couples massage. I was told they checked and that it was not this was the first issue, especially since the appointment was clearly booked as a couples service. We had also booked 80-minute massages. About an hour into the session, the therapist stated she was finished. I looked at the clock in the room, which read 1:27 PM far short of the 80 minutes we paid for. I didn’t make a scene and chose to calmly address the issue at the front desk. At the desk, I explained what happened and was told we were late, which was simply not true. Even if that were the case, the service still did not come close to the 80 minutes scheduled. The front desk attendant told us twice that we were late and made us wait while she spoke with the manager. The entire interaction made my wife and me feel like we were a burden rather than valued guests—especially disappointing on Valentine’s Day. We expected accountability and professionalism, not excuses. Because of how this situation was handled, we will not be visiting this location again.

I had book the WH Signature: Calming retreat with a gift card that I had received for Christmas. While booking I was informed that I could not use a gift card for the deposit and needed to pay a separate $130 deposit. I arrived about 25 mins early as suggested in the confirmation materials. Was quickly shown where to wait and where to change and offered tea, which never came. I waited for quite some time and when my masseuse came to retrieve me she asked for my paperwork which I was told I didn’t need to complete by the lady at the front desk. My appointment started 15 mins late, which doesn’t sound like a lot but it is quite frustrating given the cost of the massage. It also ended early, the service was listed as 110 mins but was closer to 90 mins. In addition, the service did not include all the aspects listed on the description (scalp massage or foot scrub) and was more expensive when I went to check out despite booking less than a month ago. My masseuse was okay, and I enjoyed aspects of my time with her. She did a great job with larger muscle groups but didn’t attend to smaller tendons etc. I felt as though she lacked some finesse and polish that you would expect with cost of the service. A lot of stopping and starting, feeling a little jerky and disjoined, and not really checking in about pressure or experience. However the most frustrating aspect was upon check out, 20% is added to the bill without your agreement or discussion. Further, I had pay the difference in the listed price and the tip and could not use the difference of my deposit. For a $312 service, this is WAY over priced. Thankful that this was not entirely on my dime. For those looking for a better experience I recommend MetaPhysical wellness center in cork town.

I enjoyed both services. Xylina did an awesome job on my facial I added Gua Sha and it was Devine. I also did the meditative soak which was also awesome the only draw back is I don’t feel I got the whole 80 minutes and I also didn’t receive the aromatherapy bracelet that is supposed to come with it. I feel like this spa is priced slightly higher than others and it’s smaller. The women’s room only had one shower and one bathroom and one smaller room to change in. The robes were a one-size-fits-all and they didn’t offer basic necessities for free like other spas I’ve been to such as Q-tips hair ties combs brushes. It was a nice experience, but I’ll stick to my original go to spa
