My experience with Dr Gary Petrus at Hair Restoration Institute of MN was outstanding. Yesterday, I had a hair transplant with 3000 grafts planned. I cannot say enough about how professional and friendly Dr Petrus and the entire team was to reverse my hair loss. When it became apparent that additional grafts were needed for a complete restoration, I was very appreciative in how willing there were to stay late to make the results perfect. Even though this is only day two in the recovery process, it is very rewarding to have my hair line back and I am looking forward to seeing the progress over the coming year. Dr Gary Petrus and the great team at Hair Restoration has my highest recommendation, and I will be encouraging others to consider them if they suffer from hair loss.

From the initial consultation through the completion of the procedure, the experience was outstanding at every level. The professionalism of the staff, the clinical environment, and the surgical execution were all clearly operating at a high medical standard. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism, and that tone remained consistent throughout the entire process. The facility itself reflects a true surgical practice. This is not a cosmetic office attempting to appear medical — it is a legitimate medical and surgical environment. The cleanliness, organization, and attention to sterile technique were immediately apparent. The equipment, instrumentation, and workflow were consistent with what you would expect from a dedicated surgical center, and everything was handled with precision and care. The medical staff was excellent. Each team member was knowledgeable, calm, and professional, and they clearly understood their role in supporting both the procedure and the patient experience. Every step was explained thoroughly, expectations were clearly set, and I never felt rushed or uncertain at any point. The team worked efficiently and cohesively, which speaks to strong leadership and experience. The surgeon, Dr. Roy Stoller, was exceptional. His expertise was immediately evident. He possesses an advanced understanding of both plastic surgery principles and hair restoration techniques, and that depth of experience clearly guides his decision-making and execution. His approach was methodical, precise, and confident — the type of confidence that comes only from extensive hands-on surgical experience. Dr. Stoller’s background and volume of experience in plastic surgery and hair restoration were apparent throughout the procedure. His attention to detail, technical precision, and understanding of anatomy set him apart. I felt completely confident that each step was being performed correctly, thoughtfully, and with long-term results in mind. The procedure itself was remarkably smooth and virtually painless. I remained comfortable throughout, and the process was efficient without ever feeling rushed. The surgical team maintained a calm, controlled environment, which made the entire experience far easier than anticipated. Before I knew it, the procedure was complete. Overall, this was a top-tier medical and surgical experience. The combination of surgeon expertise, clinical precision, professional staff, and a properly run surgical facility places this practice at a very high level. For anyone considering hair restoration, choosing an experienced surgeon and a legitimate medical team matters greatly. This clinic delivers exactly that level of care. I would recommend them without hesitation, and going elsewhere would be a mistake.

I had such a great experience here with Dr Reese and his team of technicians. They do a fantastic job of taking any anxiety away due to their high level of professionalism and care. I had a high count FUE procedure and all I can recommend is if you are in a similar situation, don’t put it off. If I would have met Dr Reese earlier I would have done this procedure 10-15 years ago. He has some videos on YouTube I would recommend watching. This is an extremely intelligent, professional, and friendly team of specialists that went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, safe, and happy. I really cannot say enough good things about them. I highly recommend making an appointment here.

Very grateful for my experience at HRI. Dr Petrus is very down to earth and attentive. If you’re receiving a combination of FUT & FUE therapies, he prepares the donor area while his team of technicians insert the grafts into the newly created graft sites. My technicians were (forgive if spelling errors) Maria, Crosby, Hannah, & Tatiana, and they all were a great team to work with. They make sure you feel comfortable and also will bring you snacks and lunch if you’re hungry. You can watch Netflix while the doctor and team are completing the procedure and that helps the time go by more quickly. The procedure itself can take upwards of 8 hours depending on how many grafts you receive, so having freedom to take breaks and utilize ways to pass the time is extremely helpful. I also felt zero pain during the procedure and Dr Petrus and his team will consistently check in to make sure you feel comfortable and will offer to give additional local anesthetic if needed. Towards the end of the procedure you are provided with a post care package as well as instructions for how to navigate the aftercare and healing. You will leave feeling equipped to handle the post op care and they will also answer any additional questions you may have.
