I’ve been going here since 2011 (when the were previously on the UofM campus). If you’re in need of a massage, Leo is the literal best. I get massages at various places based on my availability, but whenever I can - I come back to Leo. I could not give any higher praise. Thank you so much for the amazing massages. My stress and tension melts away after a visit.

I have been getting waxed for years!! I moved to Minneapolis recently, I was apprehensive about receiving a wax by someone other than my esthetician who I had been seeing for well over a decade. I had a service with Stephanie, I must say that my service with her was amazing!!! She was just as good as my former esthetician if not better!!! I have found my new favorite esthetician!!

I love going to The Refinery for a wax! The new location is super fantastic, love the parking situation. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and very welcoming. Afton is the absolute best and always makes me feel super comfortable. She really cares about her clients and is great at chatting to distract from the pain!

The atmosphere is always warm, friendly, and supportive, with a touch of homey comfort. The space is impeccably clean, spacious, and smells amazing every time I visit. I’ve never had a single bad experience here. The staff is professional, attentive, and always maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service. Check-in and check-out are always quick and seamless. I personally see Afton, and she is truly incredible! Her beautiful spirit and kind demeanor make every visit such a joy. She always makes sure I’m comfortable and safe, and she’s open to answering any questions or concerns I have. The Refinery is hands-down the best. I genuinely don’t think you’ll find another place that compares. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional waxing experience.

I’ve been seeing Afton at The Refinery for many years now, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more. Even though our appointments are quick (usually in and out in about 15 minutes for a Brazilian!), we always have such a good time chatting. She’s incredibly professional, efficient, and just makes the whole experience so comfortable and easy. Afton is truly the best—if you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and makes you feel totally at ease, she’s your girl!
