I was really hoping to love the services here but unfortunately ended up having a negative experience. When I met Allie, she was very sweet and professional and walked me through the entire facial process. I had let her know that I was interested in extractions (mostly blackheads) and also mentioned that there was one spot that kind of looked like a pimple/whitehead and I asked if it looked like it could be extracted. At the beginning of the facial she said that it didn't look like it's extractable and to just let it be. However, as the facial went on, she began attempting to extract it and mentioned how it actually does seem extractable. I remember feeling a lot of pressure after she lanced the spot, and assumed that she was able to extract whatever it was. Also, I noticed that there was no face steaming beforehand (only a hot towel)- as someone who has had many facials, I have always had some type of steaming before extractions. She also shared that the area around my nose was too stubborn to be extracted and to just use an oil cleanser, which I have never had a problem with before with other aestheticians. When asked about the extraction, Allie mentioned that the spot "is healing" now and stated that only some clear liquid came out when she squeezed it. Long story short, I was left with a huge dark and raised scar that I still have now almost a month later. It clearly was not ready to be extracted at the time and it looks 10 times worse than it was prior to my facial. This is my first time having a scar like this, and it's taking so long to heal that I am going to have to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. I hate to leave a negative review for a small business that seems wonderful, but I am not happy with the outcome. I think a general principle is that if you're not sure, don't try to pop it, and I would think that that is especially clear when using tools like a lancet/extraction tool.

I have a monthly subscription to Nuna aesthetics. Allie gifts me with a wonderful service each month that my skin needs for great health and beauty. This past visit, Allie noticed a new spot on my face near my hairline that I never noticed myself. She suggested I check it out by a dermatologist. The growth is precancerous and can be easily treated. I’m so grateful to Allie at Nuna Esthetics who is professional and proficient at her skills. Allie is an integral part of my health care and self care. Thank you, Allie!

I can’t recommend Nuna Esthetics enough! I've been seeing Allie regularly for facials and eyebrow laminating, and every visit is nothing short of amazing. Not only is she incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but the entire experience is also so relaxing and rejuvenating. She really takes the time to understand what I want and need. From the moment I walk in, I feel at ease — the space is calming, beautiful and feels like a peaceful escape from my day-to-day.

One of the best facial experiences I have had!! To start, the lymphatic massage relaxed me and felt amazing, then the products used smelled beautiful! The peel mask was so cool! And the foot massage to make me feel grounded felt like I had a whole body session! It really made it perfect! Cannot recommend Allie enough! Thank you for such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience!

I just had my first facial at Nuna and I have found my spot in Minneapolis! Allie is so easy to talk to, she truly listens and has great knowledge and feedback. I love the clean products she uses without pushing them. She genuinely wants what’s best for your individual skin and wellness. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated with glowing skin.
