Clarus Dermatology - New Brighton

Recently had a visit here where they used a virtual receptionist and virtual nurse. There was an iPad set up with cameras in the lobby and in the room for my appointment. When asked to put a credit card on file, instead of having me fill it out online as one of the forms, I was asked to hold it up to the camera in the lobby. I felt weird about that. The actual provider/dermatologist who was in the room with me was amazing. She was very thorough and seemed competent and patient as I explained things. She also did a very good job explaining and detailing about what her thoughts were and solutions. However, the iPads and cameras everywhere made me really uncomfortable. At the very least I would have preferred to have been notified about this when I made the booking or before I showed up to this location.

Was referred to the New Brighton Clinic. Told the dermatologist everything and what didn't work and what sort of worked. I had eczema as a kid it went away then couple of years back had Covid and it came back really bad even on my face. I was all ready on certain ointment for a little over a year. I told this to the person doing the intake and the dermatologist. After a very rushed examination I was prescribed the same three ointments. I informed the dermatologist I was all ready on the ointments for over a year with really now results. She then told me I could use the ointments 3 times a day up to 14 days. After the first dermatologist I was seeing told me do not use more then twice a day for 14 days. After my recheck I informed her you are not seeing me when I am inflamed. I was also prescribed Dupixent. I was told I was the one that would have to call to get cleared for the prescription. After I called the Dupixent rep told me no before we can do anything the dermatologist needs to call. I figured this from the start. After I called from my car after on of my appointments. I went back inside and told them everything. After waiting for a while someone came out and asked didn't you call Dupixent. I informed I told the front desk person and someone from the clinic would need to call. After a couple of months not being listed to and not seeing any results I decided to go elsewhere. Even with insurance co / pay is due up front before every appointment. It can only be cash or cerdit card. I feel blessed that I found a different clinic with a different dermatologist that actually listens and wants to help.

My experience today was remarkable. I didn’t know what to expect and staff explained everything beautifully. The procedure was painless and effective. My overall experience with Clarus Dermatology has been excellent. They provide great care and I’m glad that I’m working with them.

Great service for this medically nervous gal! I was able to get an appointment within a day to address and deal with an issue. My concerns were immediately at ease. Fabulous staff, very pragmatic, with excellent bedside manner. A great experience! I'll be back to check out more of their services! Highly recommended!

I have been going to the Clarus clinic in New Brighton for a few years and had melanoma removed by Dr. Shah. Although I have seen a number of PAs over the years, Dr. Binh Vu has been my primary. All are excellent! They are professional, thorough, very friendly, and always prompt and on time. I would highly recommend my clinic!
