I've gotten sugared at all the major chains in Portland, and this place is hands down the best. Her space is so comfortable and inviting and she is so nice. She is also a perfectionist and make it as least painful as having hair ripped out of your body can be.

I absolutely adore Karrine! Ive been driving out 1hr each way to her since 2021 and she’s well worth her craft! She worked with me during my pregnancy to allow for the best possible experience for me to get my services done. She kindly gave me extra time to get there (during the last few weeks before birth) and encouraged extra rr & water breaks. Karrine invested in a new treatment bed right before heading into my 2nd trimester and always offered to change positions to safely treat me for multiple hours. A woman never forgets what is done for her during her pregnancy and I can’t thank Karrine enough for her extreme generosity and compassion for me. Just goes to show how much she loves her craft and clientele. She even changed my last appt. closer to my due date to make sure this mama got as much out of her wax as possible before birth. 6mo later and I’m STOKED to get back on her books. The consistency is well worth it in the long run, I PROMISE.

Back in January 2025, I googled "waxing near me" looking for a Brazilian Waxing service near me prior to reproductive surgery. My first appointment was the Brazilian Elixir. I filled out the required intake forms online and the technician called me for clarifying questions and wanted to make sure she was able to see me before my surgery. I was able to have the service 24-48's prior to surgery so my skin was freshly ready. I didn't want to shave or be shaved in the operating room. It had been some years since I have had a Brazilian wax, and found sugaring to not be as painful as soft wax or using the waxing strips. On a pain scale it was a, 1-3/10 in that one spot, and ladies you know the spot. I believe my post surgery healing went really well in part to the high frequency treatment we did after the Brazilian to kill bacteria, treat and prevent ingrown hair, reduce spots and irritation for a smoother and clearer skin result. The space is clean, hygienic, and welcoming. The cost was what I was expecting to pay, plus tip, for a waxing service in Portland, OR. As a bigger body person, I felt welcomed and safe. I highly recommend Luxurious Honey Studio for all our biological woman waxing needs. I have become a regular. Recently, I even added underarms to my appointment and it went really well. Pain was maybe a 1/10; if at all. I am part of 40+ club and tired of shaving. I am at the point where I was having to shave my underarms every other day and with a very busy life, Summer, swimming, I am hoping I can eliminate one more to do self care action item off my "to do" list. Everyone's regrowth will look different. I have naturally curly hair. My grow back is minimal, finer, softer, and faster than when I was in my 20's and 30's. If you have any questions just reach out.
