Burgess Plastic Surgery and MedSpa

I had a great experience at Burgess clinic and let me tell you why. During the PRF injections, I briefly fainted (completely on me — I hadn’t eaten beforehand 😅). What really stood out was how amazing the staff handled it. Sara was the nurse performing the injections, and the moment it happened, I woke up to two nurses right there, making sure I was okay, calm, and comfortable. Sara stayed by my side, making sure I was waking up and responding, while another nurse (I didn’t catch her name) was helping me get my blood sugar and pressure back up after the blood draw. One of the recipients also came in to check on me and stayed close just in case. The team was kind, professional, and genuinely caring throughout the entire visit. They handled everything perfectly and made me feel safe and taken care of.

It’s been 7 months since I had my breast reduction. The impact of my choice to have the surgery and having Dr Burgess perform the surgery has been profoundly positive. I went to her after having a breast reduction 20 yrs. prior performed by a male surgeon who had his own ideas about what size my breast should be, of which he kept to himself. His ideas did not align with mine which resulted in my breasts not being as small as I wanted. One concern that Dr. Burgess had was locating the original surgery notes. Without the notes she would not have an understanding of where the blood supply to the nipples were coming from which could result in losing the nipple. That concern was short lived. She immediately asked her team to try and locate the records. The only information I had was the hospital’s name as I had forgotten the exact date and name of the doctor. Her team, within 10 min. expertly found the surgical notes. With those notes she assured me that I had nothing to worry about and that she could (and did) perform the surgery keeping my nipple intact. Before I met with Dr Burgess I met with Ashley who is a Registered Nurse and Injector. She was extremely gentle with me sensing my apprehension. She eased my discomfort and self-consciousness when taking photos of my breasts and also answered my questions with professionalism and knowledge. After I met with Dr. Burgess I met with Debbie, the Office Manager, who went over surgery dates and payment options. She was organized, helpful, and patient with me answering many questions that I had and patiently repeating answers for me when needed! I felt I had found "my team" as I said good bye to the ladies who originally greeted me. They were warm, attentive, and friendly. My initial call to the office was with Lacey, who is the Office Administrator, and who represented Dr. Burgess, and the entire organization. She spoke to me with courtesy and efficiency. The surgery itself went better than expected! I woke up and saw exactly what I wanted! Tiny breasts! I had no complications and the care I received from the pre op, surgical and post op team was genuinely impeccable. My recovery the following week was a breeze in comparison to my prior breast reduction. My pain levels were minimal, and I was able to get off the RX pain med after only two days. From then on I took Tylenol. I had a reaction to the surgical tape but that, like the pain, did not last longer than 4 days. Dr. Burgess and the ladies sent me a gorgeous bouquet and I also received a gift certificate for lymphatic massage to help with the healing process. I met with Andrea, who is an Advanced Esthetician and Massage Therapist, about 8 weeks post-surgery. She was also very kind, discrete, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Burgess and her Team are miracle workers in my opinion. They took care of my emotional and physical needs with expertise, thoroughness, delicacy, and kindness. Wonderful staff! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Lacy was incredibly helpful with any questions or calls and Sarah provided excellent service with very educational skin care recommendations. All of my appointments have felt like the staff goes above and beyond to be kind and helpful and I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for personal and quality care.

I recently had a consultation with Dr. Burgess and left feeling extremely disappointed. It started off good, with the nurse asking good questions and making me feel comfortable/taken care of. But when Dr. Burgess came in, she didn't introduce herself. She clearly hadn't read my chart and just started measuring and spouting off numbers to the nurse without explaining anything. She rushed through what the procedure was and just asked if I had any questions. I wasn't sure what all I should be asking but did not feel like anything was explained in much detail. I felt like she rushed me through in 15 minutes (when they said a consult takes an hour) to collect the $200 I paid for a consultation. When I asked about timing and tried to get a sense of her availability, she twice cut me off and told me to ask the front desk as scheduling was not part of her job. If I am going to go through with a procedure, I'd like for my doctor to seem like they care about my experience and that I fully understand my options, not that they're just rushing me into something to collect a massive paycheck. I know now what questions I should come with but will definitely not move forward with Dr. Burgess for anything.

When I got referred to Dr bBurgess, I was very nervous. I'm very sensitive about my breasts because of ppl teasing me of my size. I felt so comfortable. Maggie was the sweetest soul, and Dr. Burgess. I'm looking forward to surgery. My back has hurt for so long. April 30th.
