Would definitely recommend Family Tradition tattoo. Levi took our call the evening before we wanted to get two tattoos. Colin was already booked up so Levi elected to come in on his day off. When we met him he was instantly warm and friendly and humorous. He took all the time we needed for design and placement. The tattoo we got was exactly what we wanted. Couldn’t be happier. The shop conversation was fun and easy. This is the place to get a tattoo.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and had passed this studio so many times—it's such a great space. Super clean, very welcoming, and the art on the walls is absolutely incredible, floor to ceiling. I reached out to Levi and got a response almost immediately for a same-day walk-in appointment. He asked for a few inspiration images and said he’d meet me at the shop with something ready to look at when I arrived. With just those images and a simple description of what I wanted, he nailed the assignment. We chatted about the design, and he was incredibly responsive to my notes. I could tell right away that I was in good hands. Placement is always the hardest part for me, and he was so patient while I asked to see the design shifted slightly on my neck a few times. I’ve had artists in the past make you feel bad for asking—but with Levi, not even a hint of irritation. Just kindness and professionalism. During the tattoo, he checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable and feeling good. He was fast, efficient, and the final piece turned out even better than I imagined. We had great conversation throughout, too, which made the whole experience even better. There are so many tattoo shops in PDX that it can be hard to know where to go or what kind of experience you’ll get. This place is the real deal. Affordable, clean, welcoming, and filled with genuinely talented, approachable artists. I’m already going back to get another hummingbird to match, and I’ll be seeing Levi to start working on my sleeve. It’s such a relief to find a tattoo artist you want to keep coming back to. I’ve been to dozens of shops over the years, and this is truly one of the best. HIGHLY recommend checking out this shop. Look no further—the hype is real.

Went in with an idea for a memorial tattoo and Tom made it happen. He is amazing! Super professional, great guy, nice atmosphere, and the outcome was better then I hoped for. Even met Collin he was great too, and they both made you feel comfortable there. I'll definitely be back for more.

Colin was fantastic. I am so happy with not only how the tattoo turned out, but with the whole experience and process of getting it done. They have excellent service and really make you feel at home. I'm excited to come back for the next ones!
