Sassé Wellness and MedSpa

I've been coming to SS for years and I just recently visited for a facial and massage package. In the past, I was always given a bag to change into a robe, given lemon or cucumber water, and the place was quiet, serene, and felt very luxurious. This time, I was told to wait in the waiting area, no robe, no sandals, just get ready for your appointment. The other staff in the back talking about 90 day fiancé very loudly, and finally escorted back to the massage. Massage was ok...no bolster for my legs, and it felt rushed. The facial was better, and I liked all the treatments she gave me. Finally, as I was leaving, I went to "pay" with my gift card that my husband had given me and they needed me to pay with my credit card as they need to use one with tap etc. So the gift that I just received that was lackluster at best, I am paying for. It was awful. Didn't make any sense. They had his card on file but would not use it. It just felt ridiculous. I left frustrated, disappointed, and definitely not relaxed. Won't be back.

Was visiting a friend in Portland only to find myself needing a chiropractor or a massage. My friend highly recommended getting a massage from a masseuse he said was incredible at Spa Sasse so off to get a massage I went. Soo happy I did and apparently many others thought so to. The place was hoppin and everybody was soo warm and welcoming they made me feel really good. This was exactly what I needed, an hour massage vs a 5 minute Chiropractic crack and I think it was more affordable then the other as well, even though I would have paid double for that kind of attention to detail. I walked out of there with no more back pain, great posture and felt completely restored. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at Spa Sasse and your magic hands. I cant wait to come back to Portland and visit my friend. I will be going back to Spa Sasse for sure.

Went in for 1 hour massage. Sarah was my masseuse. The place is beautiful and it was the best massage I've ever had! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I learned about their other services while there and went back to get CoolSculpting on my love handles I've never been able to get rid of. I only needed two treatments and they are gone! Next up I will be trying the laser hair removal.

My wife had an extremely disturbing experience at this spa and feels obligated to warn others. The services provided were materially different from what was advertised on the spa’s website. What was presented as a luxury experience turned out to be altered and shortened treatments, without clear explanation beforehand. Most concerning were the hygiene and sanitation conditions. Basic cleanliness standards were not followed, which made the experience feel unsafe. The salt scrub treatment was particularly alarming. It appeared to consist of oil being poured from an unclean-looking bottle, followed by fine salt sprinkled directly from a package onto my body. This did not resemble a professional exfoliation treatment and raised serious concerns about hygiene and proper service standards. During one of the treatments, a staff member interacted with me while wearing street clothes and did not appear to follow basic hygiene protocols. The use of fingernails directly on my bare back, with no visible hand sanitation and whispering throughout the procedure, was extremely uncomfortable and alarming. When she raised these concerns afterward and requested a refund, the business refused to take responsibility and offer a just a 20% discount for any next procedure. What are you talking about, I would not take any service here even for free! I strongly advise potential clients to be cautious, as the lack of proper sanitation could potentially expose clients to bacterial or fungal infections as an unfortunate “bonus” to the service.

The decor and atmosphere are both amazing. I really adore the paintings, Wall vases, amd statues everywhere. My masseuse was attentive and got out some knots, too. Definitely coming back again!
