Powell Dental: Ryan R. Blair DMD

My wife and I are 10 year patients of Dr. Blair and staff. We have nothing but good things to say about our experiences over the years whether it's routine cleaning and exam to more involved dental work we have always been treated extremely well. We highly recommend Powell Dental and the friendly, courteous, professional staff!

Do not trust this place. A deep dive on my insurance claims for the 10 years I was going to Powell dental and they were overcharging me and my insurance company. when I confronted them about it, they denied everything do not trust this place. In one instance where my crown fell off a week after they put it on, they charged my dental insurance $600 and wanted me to pay the difference of $48!! He also wanted to pull one of my molars because it had a dark spot on it. I said no because it wasn’t bothering me. That was 10 years ago and I have never had a problem with it since! I think he just wanted the $$ from me for an implant.

Friendly overall, and I appreciate their cleaning my teeth for years, but wow they push x-rays here in my experience. Sorry, I’m a patient, not a cash cow. I was called into a room to be lectured about x-rays. Then, months later, I called to cancel my appointment and the staff member asked for my feedback and proceeded to lecture/argue with me AGAIN about x-rays. Not sure if all dental offices are like this, but I found this a blatant disregard for patient preferences. I had thought to heed patient preferences was a cornerstone of the general practice of medicine. Why should I pay for unnecessary medical procedures? I hope to find a place that’s more holistic or something. The staff member should be trained to not argue with patients. It’s not good patient care, nor is it good business.

Dr. Blair is both gentle and an excellent mechanic. I trust him completely, which is a big deal as I've experienced traumatic dental work in the past from other dentists. He's the best, and so are the hygienists. Highly recommend.

I have nothing but great things to say about Powell Dental. I’ve been a patient for 2 years and have always received top notch service and they have a very warm staff. Highly recommend!
