AdvancedMD Aesthetics of Atlanta: Maki Rheaume, MD

I’ve gone here multiple times for lip flips and lip filler, i love it every single time. the staff is so friendly and Dr. Maki is very responsive to what you want to do while also giving her own suggestions. i expressed i want to make sure my lips don’t look dramatic and she respected that! I’ve recommended this place to multiple friends and always will.

Dr Maki is the best! She is both my primary care and my aesthetician Dr! She’s amazing. Thoughtful, kind and talented! Her staff is very helpful and kind too. Her offices are lovely.

Great experience here getting the first treatment of brow permanent makeup removal. Dr. Maki and staff were very welcoming and respectful. I was able to sit down and talk about my concerns with powderbrow removal and had all of my questions answered.

**Update: I’ve had to change my review to 1 star. I took a break from my membership for a few months and came back in late August 2024. I signed back up for the $99/month membership. I then got charged daily for 5 consecutive days, $99 per day, not month. I finally had to put a stop payment to stop the charges and completely cancel my membership to wait on my refunded money. Total, this business owed me $396. They were very apologetic and promised me my money back. I then received two refunds for $99 each. Still missing two. After several weeks of back and forth, still no refund. I had to open a dispute with my bank. They denied my claim saying the business confirms they refunded me two charges. Now I do need to blame the bank for this part because they were too disorganized to realize that although yes I got two refunds, I was still owed two more. Finally, in February of 2025, I opened a claim with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against my bank, proving through my bank statements that I was charged 4 additional times and only received 2 refunds. The CFPB sided with me and my bank finally reversed their decision on my claim and credited me the remaining $198. All in all, if it weren’t for the CFPB, I never would’ve gotten my $$ back. The business stopped returning my calls. Even if this was an honest mistake, I don’t feel I was taken seriously and I felt forgotten about. I had such a great experience before all this took place, so I hate that I’ll never return. I found Dr. Rheume and AdvancedMD based on a neighbor’s recommendation and am so happy. Everyone I interacted with made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Everything from booking my appt to showing up and feeling like I was visiting a good girlfriend’s home, my experience was 10/10. These are really some of the nicest people. The esthetician, Josselyn, was amazing to talk to and my skin felt so beautiful when she was done. Highly recommend the hydrafacial, especially if it’s been awhile or you’re like me and it’s your first “real” facial 🫣🤭 I already have my next service booked for next month to go back and looking forward to many visits to come.

So happy to have found Advanced Aesthetics! As somebody who has been getting treatments done for some time in different places, this has been by far my best experience! You can tell Dr. Maki loves what she does, and her staff is amazing as well! Can’t wait to come back for more treatments and laser hair removal!
