Blinq Lashes and Brows

I got lip blushing done with Amy at Blinq Lashes and Brows in Chamblee and I’m SO glad I chose her. From the consultation to the appointment, she explained everything in detail—color selection, what to expect during healing, and how the final result will look once it fully settles. Amy is incredibly thorough and careful, and you can tell she truly cares about creating a natural result that fits your skin tone. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time, and my lips look more even, soft, and beautiful.

LIP BLUSHING REVIEW I’ve been a long-time client for brows and lashes and always had good experiences, which is why I trusted Amy with lip blushing in December 2025. Unfortunately, my lip blushing experience with Amy was very different. There was minimal consultation or collaboration beforehand, no lip mapping, no detailed design process, and no meaningful discussion of color or options. As my lips healed, the shape appeared noticeably asymmetrical and lopsided. I found myself having to correct them daily with lip liner, and even that could not fully correct the unevenness. After allowing them to heal for a month, I was unhappy with the result and did not feel comfortable leaving them as they were. While I understand that a touch-up is typically recommended after an initial lip blushing session, my concerns were not about routine color adjustment. The significant asymmetry and uneven shape meant my lips required corrective work—not a standard touch-up. The healing process from the original session was also significantly more difficult than I expected. My lips were very swollen, painful, and uncomfortable. They scabbed substantially, and the recovery was far more intense than I had been prepared for. I even had to adjust work meetings and other commitments because of my appearance. About a week after my lip blushing procedure with Amy (and before seeing a corrective artist), I raised my concerns respectfully with Amy and asked for clarification. Very little clarification was provided, a refund (even partial) was declined, and I ultimately chose to have the work corrected elsewhere because I did not feel comfortable proceeding further at Blinq. I consulted a new permanent makeup artist who came highly recommended for corrective work. She conducted a thorough consultation, mapped my lips, and reviewed symmetry from multiple angles and in different lighting. She presented numerous color options, explained what would best complement my skin tone and features, and tested different shades and blends so I could visualize the results. She carefully analyzed how best to correct the prior work, walked me through different approaches, and explained her recommendations. She spent significant time discussing my goals, mapping my lips, and reviewing design and color options before starting. She was meticulous and highly detail-oriented, fully educated me on the process, and ensured we were aligned in our vision. The experience was entirely different. After hearing about my first appointment and recovery experience, she explained that the original approach and length of the session were inconsistent with standard lip blushing technique and most likely reflected inexperience. Fortunately, she was able to correct the asymmetry through careful mapping and by tattooing over the prior work with thoughtful color saturation. My lips now look exactly like what I originally hoped to achieve. The corrective session itself was surprisingly comfortable despite the amount of work required. I did not require numbing, had minimal swelling, and experienced only light peeling and dryness, which was easily managed with the aftercare balm she provided. Within a week, my lips felt back to normal, and even during the healing process, they looked normal enough that I was able to continue my daily schedule without issue. I’m relieved my lips were fixable and now look exactly like what I originally hoped to achieve, but I wish I had known more going into the process. I’m sharing this so others considering lip blushing can do their research, ask detailed questions, request to see healed lip work (including before-and-after photos), and make fully informed decisions. Lip blushing is an art, and your lips are a central facial feature. Choosing an experienced artist who thoroughly consults, maps, and collaborates with you is essential. Nothing about this review is intended to reflect on the other services provided . I continue to believe Amy does beautiful lashes and brows. This review is only intended to reflect my lip blushing experience.

2024 Update: I have continued to be a loyal client at Blinq for my volume lash extensions. I visit once every 3 weeks for touch-ups. Aside from the amazing work all the lash techs do here (I've worked with many including Amy, the owner), the new location makes the experience even better as it is much more spacious, peaceful atmosphere, comfortable, free and easy parking, and has a waiting area with refreshments. It has already been almost 10 years and I look forward to continuing working with Blinq lash techs. Consider me a client for life! --- 2020 Review: For years, Blinq has been the only studio that my sister and I have trusted for our volume lash extensions. Actually, most of Amy's clients have gone to her for years for their extensions and lifts. That kind of loyalty says a lot about her quality of work given today's fast-paced beauty industry where people continuously search for the next best thing. These extensions stay looking beautiful for so long that even the technicians at Blinq have joked that I'll put them out of business if I share my maintenance secrets! All in all, I highly recommend Blinq Lash Studio!

I've been going to Amy for my lash extensions for almost a year now. I started going to Amy after my prior lash person told me she was moving internationally and I feel so lucky to have found Amy. Amy is a perfectionist and extremely detail oriented. I get compliments on my lashes all the time and it's all because of her. The extensions are comfortable, last awhile, and keep my natural lashes healthy. I usually get hybrid (but more on the natural side). Her studio is super clean and relaxing with all the natural light. I highly recommend Blinq!
