Spavia Day Spa - Lincoln Park

Before I sound like an unhappy customer who’s just here complaining, I think the results speak for themselves and not in a good way. I have very thick eyebrows and I wanted them shaped and laminated however the esthetician took off almost the entire back half of my eyebrows. I even shared with her that I had been growing them because the last place made them just a little too thin only for her to proceed to make them the thinnest they have ever been in my entire life. My eyebrow is essentially one thin line now when I have very thick ones so I’m not sure what she was thinking here. Also, there was no eyebrow mapping involved and no consulting on preference, she just started? You would think for how much it costs there would be some sort of attention to detail. So I paid $170 to be extremely disappointed and wish I had never stepped foot into this place because I now have to have these thin lines on my face for months as I try to regrow them. A friend suggested I ask for a refund but I don’t ever want to step foot in here again considering this is their standard and THIS is what they think looks okay. Again there was zero asking in between if things looked okay at all, she just proceeded to rip off my brows to make them look like that. Then she handed me the mirror at the end and asked how they look. I didn’t even know what to say because well they were gone there was nothing left? Also, I don’t think I need to say “I’m going to tell everyone to avoid here” because my friends who have seen my brows were horrified at how bad they look so really the results speak for themselves. I just really wish there was mapping and more attention to detail.

Dameka was fabulous! We had a discussion beforehand on what parts of my body needed the most attention, what issues I was having, and the pressure needed. She was spot on! The Swedish massage really helped me and she even offered suggestions at the end including a written chart for help in the future. Highly recommend!!!

I had an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. I wanted to share how much I enjoyed it! The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and kind, and the space felt instantly warm and relaxing — especially on such a chilly day. I also loved the quick survey at the start to personalize the experience. I usually find it tricky to say that I prefer a quieter treatment, so that thoughtful touch made it easy and comfortable. My esthetician, Kelty, was fantastic. The facial and shoulder massages were perfect, and I loved having a calm space afterward to unwind without feeling rushed. It was such a lovely experience, and I’ll definitely be returning to Spavia in the future.

I had a great prenatal massage with JoAnn! She was very knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The pressure was just right, and she clearly understands how to work with pregnant clients. I left feeling relaxed and physically better, and I would definitely recommend JoAnn for prenatal massage!!!

This week I had a massage booked at Spavia and due to a last minute mix up, they had to cancel it while I was already at the spa. I was obviously disappointed that I had come all that way and wasn't able to get a massage, but the team at Spavia truly went above and beyond to make it right for me! The true measure of a business is not whether they make mistakes, but whether they take accountability and do whatever it takes to resolve it when they do happen. Spavia truly followed through with this and it has made me a loyal customer for life! Katarina did my make up massage and she was absolutely incredible. I would recommend her and Spavia Lincoln Park to everyone!
