I have been seeing Nunzia for over five years and she has absolutely transformed my skin and skincare routine while still making me feel most like myself. She provides the most genuine care for my skin and recommends only what she thinks will truly be best. I always thought i just had “bad skin” but she really has helped me grow to be so confident about my skin now. My first appointment for hydrafacial she told me to “love my pores” and now I get it. With the all natural treatments my skin feels most like my own now without anything fake. I stated with hydrafacials every few months and now switch with glo2 facials and have done 3 rounds of microneedling Not to mention the space she has created is so relaxing and safe I truly look forward to every facial!! I had an amazing microneedling session with Karina at Vian Aesthetics! She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain every step of the process, which made me feel completely comfortable. Karina is also so kind and attentive, she made sure I was relaxed the entire time. My skin already feels smoother and more refreshed. I found this spa through social media and did further research by reading online reviews, which all looked great. I was hoping to book with the owner but was told multiple times that she was out of town, so I made my concerns extremely clear from the start. I am very acne-prone and have been struggling with acne for over 10 years. When I get facials, my main priority is thorough extractions. I am not looking to be sold products or additional services — I am looking for someone I can trust to deeply and properly cleanse my skin. I clearly communicated this during my appointment and even requested additional time, paying an extra fee, so the aesthetician would have more than enough time to work carefully and thoroughly. Unfortunately, my face was not properly cleansed, and an amplified mirror was not even used. When I got home and examined my skin, I noticed that the extractions were not done thoroughly, and I was able to extract more myself afterward. I called the spa to voice my concerns and was essentially told that the aesthetician disagreed with me and that I was wrong for feeling the way I did. I was offered the option to come back for extractions with another aesthetician, but at that point I did not feel comfortable trusting the spa enough to have someone else work on my skin. I then asked if a refund or a credit toward a machine could be offered and was told no. I was instead given a generic email address to contact the owner. Overall, I am very disappointed — not only with the service, but with how my concerns were handled afterward. Anyone who has struggled with acne for years understands how sensitive this is and how difficult it can be to find someone you trust with your skin. Unfortunately, this experience and the lack of accountability afterward made it very discouraging.

I’ve had a few facials at Vian Aesthetics in Downtown Chicago / River North, and each time with Natalie and Karina has been amazing. They’re both so knowledgeable and really take their time to understand your skin. Before each facial, they do an indepth skin analysis, checking hydration levels, texture, pore congestion, and any areas of irritation. They explain everything so clearly what’s happening with your skin and what treatments will actually help. I’ve never had that kind of attention to detail anywhere else. They customized my facial each visit , from deep cleansing and gentle extractions to hydration boosters and LED therapy. My skin always feels clean, smooth, and balanced afterward, not tight or red. Over a few sessions, I’ve noticed my pores look smaller, my skin tone is more even, and my overall glow has completely changed. If you’re in Chicago, especially around Downtown or River North, I can’t recommend Vian Aesthetics enough. Ask for Natalie or Karina they truly care and it shows in your results.
