Gold Coast Plastic Surgery - George Moynihan, M.D.

I know most people have had a good experience with this place, but I really feel like I fell through the cracks. To be blunt, the results from my breast augmentation were completely underwhelming and not worth the $8,000. It was a total waste of money, and I wish I went somewhere else. I trusted Dr. Lukavsky with his recommendation for size, and when I expressed that I was unhappy with the size, saying they were much smaller than my reference photos, he simply stated "you agreed to it". When I reached out to Tanis about getting it redone, she was rude to me, and I honestly have no idea why. She didn't reply to my email for about a week, so I called the office. I assumed I could get some sort of discount as a returning customer who was very dissatisfied, but when she finally replied she said "Hi Kirsten,, It would be another surgery so yes, the fee would be similar. I will write up a quote and send it to you by the end of today." (With the typo in it). The quote was for another $8,000. I was able to find someone else who offered to do an exchange for thousands of dollars less. I got a HUGE rash on the side of my breast as a reaction to the post-op medication he gave me, but he didn't even notice it until I pointed it out. I mentioned I have a history of hives and he said "You do??". It was already in my medical background I gave him and I had told him verbally before. 3 days before my procedure I got a reminder about my surgery and the time was completely different than what I booked. When I inquired they said they had to bump me up because another surgery was canceled. They didn't ask if I could make it; I just had to do it. They also repeatedly called me by the wrong name and spelled my name wrong. The surgery prep packet looked like it was written by a 3rd grader. It contained outdated medical information (using hydrogen peroxide on wounds hasn't been the standard of care for over a decade), and it often conflicted with the information Dr. Lukavsky gave me, and subsequently differed from what nurses told me. Overall, I would not recommend Dr. Lukavsky nor his office. He uses a friendly and caring tone, but does not follow through with results nor take accountability. I would rather have a mean doctor and get good results at a fair price.

From the moment I walked in, she immediately recognized the areas that needed attention and explained everything clearly and honestly. I really appreciated her transparency. She didn’t try to upsell anything, just focused on what would give me the best, most natural result. I have lost 100lbs twice in my life. Because of this my stomach was in horrible shape. It looked like it was fat, but it was just a lot of skin (5lbs to be exact). I came to gcps on a recommendation from a friend who got a killer nose job from there. I met with Dr L who was such a sweet angel of a doctor. I was so nervous that I would be sold on something, but Dr L was anything but that. He listened to my story of how I got to my current position and my ideal look. Because of how much skin I had, a fleur de lis tummy tuck would yield the best results, but I didnt want the line up my abdomen as it would be a dead giveaway of my surgery. Dr L didnt even flinch and said lets do a regular one then. No argument, no back and forth, just pure support. The whole team was so welcoming, so warm. I always felt so comfortable in the office. On surgery day everyone was so welcoming and had a great calm energy. Joking around, talking about my weightloss, honesty it felt like i was surrounded by friends. The procedure itself was incredible. Out like a light, pain was managed, questions were answered immediately, aftercare instructions were given with no detail spared. I was able to call the Dr at anytime for any issues, but nothing came up. Follow ups were also amazing and uplifting. Its been a year now and my results still take my breath away. Dr L, you changed my life. Except now im super broke because I look so good in clothes now that i cant stop shopping, haha.I tried to do consults at other practices but they were all so cold with their intake and the consult fees were atrocious. Tanis was so amazing at talking me through everything. She was basically my liaison through the whole process and today she is a friend! If you're on the fence, dont be. Youre in great hands!

I had an augmentation and lift done by Dr. Lukavsky in September, I am currently three weeks post op and I’m INCREDIBLY happy with my results. Not only are my results fabulous and exactly what I asked for, but from start to finish Dr. Lukavsky and team have been beyond amazing. From my consultation I knew he was the best choice as my surgeon. He listened to every concern and answered every question I threw at him with confidence. I even went back for a second consultation after booking a surgery date just to touch base and get more comfortable as we got closer to it, and he was beyond comforting and assured me that everything was going to be great. Day of the surgery went as smoothly as you can imagine. From start to finish, Dr. Lukavsky and the team were so professional and friendly and really helped calmed my nerves. They kept my husband (patiently waiting in the lobby) updated throughout the surgery, called me when I got home to make sure I was doing okay as well as the following day. He was readily available whenever I reached out with any concerns post op. I truly believe I could not have picked a better surgeon for my first ever surgery. I was confident in my image prior to my surgery, but now I feel unstoppable. I cannot talk highly enough about Dr. Lukavsky, the nurses and staff at Gold Coast Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Moynihan, as always, does the most amazing work! I am super picky and a perfectionist, which made it really difficult to trust someone with my face that everyone sees everyday. I’ve had two procedures with him and the only way I can describe it is that Dr. Moynihan does art on your face and gives you the version of your face that’s optimized for what you want. He also will give you all the facts and his professional recommendation vs. just saying “yes, sure, I’ll do that” to make sure you can make the best decision for you.
