Cirine Hair Removal & Skin Care

I have been getting electrolysis at Cirine for about 6 months now, and have no intention of looking elsewhere. The facility is clean, up to date, and has a calming atmosphere. I set up appointments at several other spas in Chicago, and Cirine was by far the most pleasant and professional. I’m very grateful for Mariana- she is thorough, attentive, and professional. I have never felt uncomfortable with the quality of care I have received during my sessions, which is very important considering how sensitive of a process electrolysis can be. Would recommend to anyone.

I would love to gatekeep, but for anyone out there looking into electrolysis and feeling nervous about taking the first step, please book your consultation with Tamara. I promise you, you will be in great hands. I did a lot of research before my first visit, and one thing I read over and over again was that you should not feel plucking when a treated hair is removed. From the beginning, I could feel that if there was any resistance, she would treat the hair again so it slid out - no plucking here. Before we began, she asked me what I wanted to prioritize. :) Since I have a good mix of facial hair, it was so nice to know we could treat what I really wanted to see gone first. Since then, she’s continued to check in, and I think it really helps me feel some control over the situation after PCOS made it feel uncontrollable for so long. She adapts the power level and method for the hair she is treating (like I said, I have a mix) as well as what I can tolerate that day, and always asks how I'm healing so she can make adjustments if needed. Since she is also an esthetician she wants to make sure my skin continues to look good throughout the process. I always heal great - a couple of days afterward, you can’t even tell anything was done. She even took care to remove extra hairs surrounding a random patch I have so that the area would blend in and look natural. I’ve had 5 treatments and have begun to feel confident enough to skip shaving in between sessions. It’s not just because the progress makes my remaining hair seem like peach fuzz compared to where I began, but also because the experience has made me feel less alone. It’s hair, it’s natural, and it probably happens to more women than we think. In short, Tamara is kind, considerate, and good at what she does. Give yourself a chance to feel like yourself again and give electrolysis a try. She'll make the experience a positive one.

When I decided that I wanted to do something about the lines on my forehead and around my eyes, I wanted to go somewhere that I felt comfortable and listened to. Upon entering Cirine, the atmosphere is calm and inviting. Everyone was so friendly and engaging. The check in process was easy and I was able to fill out the required paperwork ahead of time which was very convenient. I met with Dan and Adam who were both extremely professional and so knowledgeable. Both Dan and Adam made me feel so comfortable with asking questions and they took their time to make sure I was comfortable and that all of my questions were answered. I didn't know what to experience as far as pain or discomfort, but I had none!!!!! And the results were better than I expected. Cirine exceeded any expectation that I had. After the first visit, I knew I had found "my place"!
