Brien Family Dentistry

My appointment with Dr. Brien and his hygienist was great. They took me right in and the hygienist was quick, gentle and thorough. Very professional.

I have some major dental issues. My insurance company referred me to about 9 dentist. I know what procedure ultimately would be required but had a lot of anxiety about the process and what to expect. I needed a general overview of what I should expect over the timeline of my treatment. All I got from every office was "you have come in and go from there." However a lady at Brien office took about 10 minutes of her time answering most of my questions and concerns. She couldn't answer everything, but I felt heard and that's why I went to Brien. I think her name was Tabby or maybe Gabby, not quite sure. Anyway no treatment or even a plan yet but I feel like this is the right place. Appreciate you Tabby/Gabby?

Dr. Shane and his team are the best. They make you feel like a part of the family every visit. That’s why my entire family and I go here despite most of us living in Lafayette. 10/10 would recommend.

This review is for my mother's visit and this is what she expressed to me regarding her experience: Dr. Brien and staff were very kind. Dr. Brien noted things about my mouth that no one ever mentioned or explained. I appreciated his simple explanation very much.

First of all, I am 66 years old and have never felt comfortable visiting a Dentist. On my first visit to Brein Family Denistry I mentioned this on the new client questionnaire. They obviously read it and took it seriously. During the initial exam and exrays, the dental hygienist offered to do my cleaning that day [instead of scheduling another appointment] in an attempt to avoid the pre-appointment anxiety I had described on my questionnaire. After I had seen Dr. Brein, she returned, asked if I had decided on the cleaning, and when I agreed, she promptly and professionally proceeded to clean my teeth. I left the office in awe of the fact that never once during that visit did I feel uncomfortable or anxious in any way. I scheduled an appointment to have my upper denture and lower partial replaced. It took several attempts for the lab [independent lab not associated with their office] to get the upper denture to look and fit to my satisfaction. That meant numerous additional visits. Everyone on the staff was extremely patient with me through the entire process, not once suggesting that I settle for *Good Enough*. Never did I feel as though I was being a pain in anyone's back side. I rate Dr. BREIN and his entire staff 5 Stars only because there is no higher rating to give. 10/27/2025 Today I went to Brein Family Denistry for my second teeth cleaning by them. Which means that I have been a patient of theirs for 6 months now. Because of the previous appointments and experiences with Dr. Brein and staff, I had none of the pre-appointment anxiety [that I usually suffer] last night. These kind and caring folks have a patient for life with me. The *almost no wait time* never ceases to amaze me. In my meager 6 month experience, I have found this to be their norm. When my appointment is at 10:00, I am in the exam room being treated before 10:05. To me that means they think my time is as valuable and important as theirs is.. Not at all my usual experience at any dental/medical office. And it is truly welcomed.
