5 Mile Smiles Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry

I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 yrs and the anxiety of what had happened to my teeth over that time was actually keeping me from going. Then I broke a wisdom tooth and had to have emergency treatment. Everyone from the front reception and billing to the assistants to the dr are a professional team like I really haven't found in other medical or dental offices. They function like a beautiful clock together, communicate, coordinate fluidly, and are just nice, friendly, calm people. I know for a fact that their environment gets busy and likely quite stressful, but they handle it without giving off a negative vibe, which is a huge accomplishment in any clinical setting. Dr.'s work was flawless, healing was as expected, no issues. Went back for cleaning and Eva the hygienist is delightful to be treated by and to talk to as well. I have a bunch of cavities but nothing terribly serious and we're going to take it step by step until my teeth are in solid health. I trust them to do this for me, and I do not trust lightly, especially with my face! I like them a lot.

I got my crown installed today and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received. Most places take 2-3 appointments to complete The procedure, 5 mile smiles did it all in one appointment, they were so friendly it made my experience so comforting and the detail and perfection they put into there work was amazing! The true measure of any business is how they handle problems. I was a long-time satisfied customer of 5 Mile Smiles. But not anymore. My wife went in to have two fillings in December. Dr Keefe was out of the office and had a substitute dentist. The substitute mashed her lip so hard against her teeth she had two deep lacerations that took weeks to heal. Of course she did not feel them until the next day, after the numbing agent wore off. She called the office, told them what happened, and sent photos. We expected the substitute dentist to call her. He did not. When Dr. Keefe returned he couldn't be bothered either. Call me weird, but I prefer dentists who don't injure their patients and then pretend nothing happened.

Dr. Keefe is a wizard! I’ve been going to him for years and every time he makes the experience pain free and comfortable. His team cares about your health and answers all questions. If you need dental work, Dr. Keefe is your guy.

If you struggle with anxiety and/or dental anxiety, I would certainly call 5 Mile Smiles! I have negelcted myself in seeing a dentist for almost 2 decades because of my anxiety and not being able to find an office that i felt comfortable with until I called for an emergency appointment for a broken tooth. It was first thing in the morning after being up all night bawling my eyes out, I caved and called 5 Mile Smiles off of a recommendation from my husband. Hesitant but needing care immediately, I called sobbing and the receptionist was calm, quiet and worked fast to get me in. I was shocked, yet at ease, with how quick I was able to be seen. Once I got into the office, I was met with the same kindness and care that I received over the phone. The dental assistant that helped me, Erin, was absolutely phenomenal. She talked me through each step. She listened to my reason for my anxiousness and was able to relate. She didnt have to tell me parts of her story and her journey but she did and she helped me be at ease. Erin was quick, calm and didn't make me feel like an awful person for not prioritizing my health. Once Dr. Keefe came in, he too, was amazing! He saw how much pain I was in due to my inability to speak without crying and feeling anxious. He worked with my payment, made it known that he cares about my comfort and wanted to help get me relief ASAP. As they were about to pull my tooth, Erin helped me breathe through the poking and prodding. He voice was calm and reassuring. Dr. Keef worked fast and had me out the door within 12 min from the time he started to pull to the time he was finished stitching me up. It was the LEAST painful experience I have ever received in a dental office and most calming one, regardless of my initial pain and reasoning I was there. I was, and still am, shocked at how amazing the experience was. I am looking forward to getting my care plan in order with my following appointments and working with the wonderful team here! I would HIGHLY recommend 5 Mile Smiles to any person seeking emergent care, cosmetic care or prevention care. I cant say that I've ever left a review for any establishment. However, I feel that those who have debilitating anxiety that leave them neglecting themselves should know about this office and know they are in great hands.
