Dermatology Associates of Knoxville, Affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology

I’m not usually one to leave reviews in general, but this office has been incredibly frustrating. I had an appointment last week for which I was 7 minutes late for due to the terrible parking situation provided. I drove around multiple garages for 30 minutes looking for a spot. I get there and am taken back. Blake Childress was great. He was very understanding and I felt heard. His communication was very clear and I had a great visit with him. His nurse was also as sweet as pie. I did, however, get a voicemail later that day asking me to come pick up a lab order they had forgotten to give me. I have attempted to call 5 times, and the two times they have called me back, they left a voicemail. My phone did not ring at all. They are incredibly difficult to get in touch with and I’d just like to speak with someone from their office. Not to be a pain, but it’s really not my fault their office forgot to give me my lab order at my appointment, and with me being a full time grad student, I do not have the time in my schedule to stop by their office to pick up a lab order that their responsibility to give me. Have I forgotten it, that would be one thing and I would be happy to pick up the lab order. However, it wasn’t my fault, and it’s quite a drive for me.

UPDATE: Had another office visit with him and I felt like he was very knowledgeable in regards to the issues presented. He was genuine and asked other questions about my other conditions. I had my kids with me and they felt very comfortable in the office and with him around. He’s good with kids and relates with them very well since he has kids at home too. Different nurse from first visit but she was phenomenal too! Made small talk about our kids and what they watched. Overall, I definitely feel as if they care about the patient and their health. That’s a priority to them. Thank you guys for all you do! I felt like the concerns that I had were addressed and I was given reassurance. Not only did the doctor have one condition I had, the nurse ended up having the other one. The fact that they have a personal drive for helping others based on their own experiences is phenomenal. Grateful my voice was heard and now we have a plan set ahead to get everything taken care of. Plenty of information and I honestly felt very very comfortable!

I have never left a review before, but even a day later I am still just in awe of how wonderful my experience was at this place and with “ Dr. Whitney” . I have been putting off going to see anyone for years, and when I would get the courage up to go the appointments would be MONTHS out and I would chicken out. I called this place on Wednesday and they offered me a same day appointment , but opted for Friday. My anxiety was thru the roof, when I arrived I was immediately put to ease…I didn’t catch the tech or nurses name but she was amazing too. These two ladies literally changed my life in a matter of minutes, they took care of an issue I was so nervous about sharing, like it was nothing. Thank you so much to this place, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend choosing Knoxville Dermatology Associates for all your skin care issues!!!

The people that made the appointment were very professional and courteous. Upon arrival the desk personnel made my registration easy and simple while being friendly and efficient. I was called back to a room within minutes. The nurse and doctor were friendly and considerate of my time. The procedure took a couple of minutes and I left a satisfied patient!

No absurd wait times. Office seems to be organized, well ran and also very clean. From arrival to checking out (with new paperwork) was around 45min, which is great! Doctor addressed any concerns I had and answered them with knowledge and previous experiences, and even double checked before leaving the building about any questions or concerns.
