I have had a dermatologist since I was 15. I have never had great skin. I have been to upteen spas and derma/med clinics. This was my first time to Light Rx. I was very impressed by the staff and their knowledge of skin health. These clinicians have been there for YEARS, not months. I’m as picky as they come because sometimes I feel like I know as much as they do, but they exceeded my expectations. And I never give reviews, unless I mean it. This place is great. Ashley runs the front office (very thorough with their offerings), and Meaghan administered the facial. I feel like she “fixed” my face because I had burned my face with Retin-A. They will definitely become a part of my regimen. And… their location is awesome! : )

I'm giving LightRX 2 stars because, while the staff is friendly and mostly accommodating and the facility is clean and well maintained, the amount of money they charged me for no visible results is unacceptable. I researched multiple Knoxville plastic surgeons and medical spas looking for treatment of a keloid scar. I settled on LightRX when their gallery showed pictures of a very similar type scar as mine, that was almost completely gone from treatments that were supposedly done by them. At my appointment, I met with the person who I assume does the initial consultation and showed her my scar and explained the circumstances and what I was looking for in the way of results. She said a combination of two treatments (NEO clear RX acne treatment? And Venus Viva Body) would give me the best results. She said 4 treatments of that combo were needed, and when I asked the price for those treatments, it was $3000. And before I knew it, she was starting the financing process to start treatment. It was more than I wanted to pay, but I felt pressured because she was already submitting my info to Cherry financing. It definitely felt like a high pressure sales tactic, and I would have preferred to have gone home and thought it over before committing to $3000 of what turned out to be completely wasted money. I was treated mainly by one technician and she was very sweet and seemed to really be trying to get me good results. When I saw her, my treatment was almost 30 mins between the two lasers. On two occasions, including my last treatment on 12/31, a different technician treated me, and BARELY did anything with the laser. I was in and out of my appointment, from walking in the front door, to walking out the front door, in 10 mins. It was my last appointment with the four prescribed treatments, and I was VERY disappointed. But don't worry! They have a new microneedling pen that will definitely get me the results I was looking for. Clearly the $3000 I had just invested on the other treatments was just the warm up. This new microneedling pen (and who only knows how much they charge for this treatment) would do it! No thanks. Ive been getting laser treatments and other medical spa treatments for years and always had excellent results for the amount of money I spent. This place is NOT it. Invest your money somewhere else where they actually want results and not just to string you along to get more money out of you.

Local Med Spa is absolutely amazing! The staff is so welcoming and professional, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the services is top-tier. Ashley was especially wonderful to work with—knowledgeable, kind, and made the whole experience feel comfortable and personalized. Highly recommend!

I paid for the Treat to Target on my abdomen and saddlebags. $$$$ of dollars. It did not help. There was absolutely no difference in my before or after pictures. NOT worth your time or money. I did everything just like they said. So frustrating. I gave 3 stars bc the laser hair removal works. I got a Groupon for that and decided to get additional laser on my bikini area. The staff is kind and Very convincing! Just very discouraging how much money you put into this and get very little out. You definitely do Not get what you pay for! I ended up hiring a personal trainer who was able to get me better results. And then I got Morpheus8 with noticeable results.
