West Knox Dentistry

I had an absolutely phenomenal visit today at West Knox Dentistry! The entire team was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Best of all, the procedure was completely pain-free. If you’re looking for a dentist who truly cares about their patients, this is the place!

Horrible! Husband showed up for a cleaning yesterday and they made him wait 20 minutes - then did a few minutes of tinkering, called it an "exam" and said they don't have enough time for the cleaning. That's what he had an appointment for in the first place! The place is physically dirty and the dentist inspires zero confidence. They used to be great until the old dentist retired and a new guy bought the place. Their service is abysmal now.

I wasn't sure what to expect after learning the dental practice I'd been a patient of, for the last decade, had been sold. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased with the new ownership. My hygienist was very thorough and made a point to explain everything she was doing, and the dentist did not try to upsell me at my exam, or tell me I needed unnecessary work (which was experience I've had in the past, prior to coming to this establishment.) I drive across town to come here, and will continue to do so.

WORST. DENTIST. EVER. No sign to say closed for lunch, so I had to wait in my car 20 minutes for someone to show up. Then the place was filthy. The floors, the chair, the walls, the equipment, everything. The dental assistants barely spoke to me. They were too busy gossiping with other employees or scrolling on their phones in front of me. They were cold and apathetic, just going through the motions. Not one person introduced themselves to me, tried to build rapport of any kind, or showed any appreciation whatsoever for me coming in as a first time visitor. The guy who flossed my teeth did so at Mach 5 like he was trying to break a record and didn't offer me suction, so I just had to swallow my own blood because he made my gums bleed. What a great experience that was. Then I had to wait 20 minutes for the dentist when they weren't busy at all. I was the first appointment after lunch break after all. She didn't do anything for my sensitivity for the main tooth bothering me. She just kept saying she couldn't see anything and sent me on my way. What a colossal waste of time. I'll never be back and tell everyone I know to do the same

I have been a long time patient and personal friend of Dr Brakovek and can say the new owner, Dr Vareldzis, is top notch. Excellent technique and patient care. I miss Dr Brakovek, but am very pleased with Dr Vareldzis and will continue to seek all my dental care from him.
