Another example of dentistry becoming a money grab instead of prioritizing patient care. I am someone who routinely gets a dental cleaning every six months as part of maintenance and preventative care. I am fortunate to not have dental issues and previous providers have gone up to 3 years between X-rays, as long as I don’t have any complaints and everything looks good during the cleaning. I switched to Elite Smiles when looking for a dentist closer to me, and their free whitening offer attracted to me initially (This is not worth it in my opinion, You have to have two cleanings before they will make a tray and then they only give you one syringe of Whitening solution Per cleaning; Better off just to go get some whitening strips and not deal with it). I noticed that my cleanings there were quick in duration compared to previous ones I’ve had and left me wondering how thorough they really are. They offer several add-ons that you can pay extra for. They want to perform x-rays every year, regardless of any previous conditions, any current issues, or patient preference. When I declined x-rays at my last cleaning, they seemed baffled that I declined and had me sign a waiver/acknowledgment form, which I gladly did. When I returned for another cleaning, they said they can only allow me to wave the x-rays once due to policy and “Insurance” Otherwise, they wouldn’t see me. So I left. I currently don’t have dental insurance and pay out-of-pocket. I don’t feel like having unnecessary imaging being forced on patients who are there to keep their teeth healthy is the right way to provide care in the community. Would not recommend to others.

I went here for my 1 year old son to be seen for a chipped tooth that I was worried had abscessed. Thankfully, everything was fine; however, I paid $153 to drive an hour and a half to be there before noon (which I was told over the phone was a requirement) to then wait 2 hours to be seen for a grand total of 3 minutes. I understand this establishment does not take my dental insurance; however, yesterday I went to Hardin Valley Children’s Dentistry where they also do not take my insurance and the appointment lasted the same amount of time and was free of charge due to how quick the exam took. So I am extremely frustrated. It would have been $208 if the tooth needed to be extracted which included the exam, x rays and the extraction. So how did only $55 get taken off when 1- he is too young for x rays and 2- it would have been at least 20-30 minutes if the extraction had been performed. This place is basically robbing people. I also am including a photo that is publicly in the open for all of their patients to stand outside and look in to see. They grossed $340,000+ in August and over $280,000 last month alone. Of course they’re grossing that much if they’re charging self pay patients $153 for a 3 minute exam. Imagine what else they’re charging. Do not recommend whatsoever.

I came here on 2/9/26 because my teeth were hurting. I got a X-Ray and it was determined I needed my wisdom teeth taken out. The very kind nurse discreetly told me not to get the procedure done there which I am very thankful for. The doctor was pretty pushy on me getting the procedure done at their office. He also told me my wisdom teeth were up against my nerves and I wont have feeling around that area once their taken out. Fast forward to today, I got the procedure done by a wonderful individual that went to Harvard Medical School and he said that this only happens to 1-3% of patients. The doctor at Elite Smiles PLLC (in my opinion) tried to scare me so I would get the procedure done at their office. Very bad doctor. Also looked young and inexperienced

Thank you Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Erica y’all both are amazing staff members. Thank y’all for making me feel welcome like I was at home also it was neat and clean in there. I love that there is equipment that is shown when it comes to your teeth to help you receive the smile that you need. You all have a long time client and I will be returning in a couple of weeks please come and see them they are the best and very caring people who care about your health and your teeth. Tee-Tee

Don’t trust their billing dept. After explicitly confirming with me on multiple occasions that my procedure would be covered under insurance, and after I already given them a co-pay of a little over $60, weeks after my visit they’re now trying to charge me a second co-pay of almost $60. On top of that, they can’t explain to me any reason why I am due that amount, other than, “insurance says they won’t cover the co-payment” while also threatening to send the bill to collections. Yes, a dental office using unscrupulous tactics to pay double the cost of what I already paid them. All because their staff didn’t properly do their due-diligence. How could I possibly trust them in the future? What if I was to go under for a COSTLY procedure only to be told they made a mistake and insurance actually won’t cover it? They will bully me into paying an amount I didn’t agree to? Berry bad business practice, and unacceptable customer service. Simply put, you can’t expect customers to pay double the cost of what was agreed to. I understand this is a matter of insurance, but at the same time, your staff can not tell your customers something will be paid for and then turn around and tell them it won’t be paid for AFTER the procedure is already complete.
