Lookout Mountain Dental

Lookout Mountain is a wonderful place. Everyone in the office was friendly, professional, and skillful. I have a traumatic past with dentistry, and they made me feel at ease throughout the visit. I had been told by another dentist that I needed a new crown and that it would take 4 weeks and 2 visits to get it. I have multiple crowns, and I was dreading the grueling, time-consuming process. Then a friend told me that Lookout Dental can do crowns in one visit, so I requested a consultation with Dr. Kuyrkendall. A couple of hours after I entered the office, I had a brand new, perfectly-fitting crown that they created onsite. Thank you!

On 02/10/2026 I called to make an appointment at 0800 hours and was delighted to be set up for the following day at 1100 hours. I had a painful tooth that required extraction. I arrived early on 02/11, signed in and provided copies of my dental plan information to the receptionist. By 1115 hours I was in the chair and being x-rayed in preparation for the tooth extraction. The assistants were all pleasant, and the dentist carefully explained the process. I approved receipt of the written acknowledgement of potential risks in the procedure. The area around the tooth in question was numbed very skillfully. The old, previously filled and fractured painful tooth was removed with no pain. I only felt slight pressure as the tooth was removed. I received written instructions on how to care for the extraction site. Payment was no problem since the office had the up-to-date costs and coverage information for my insurance. I paid the difference on the spot and was on my way. On 02/12/2026 I recieved a follow-up call from the dentist office to check on the progress of healing from the extraction. The personel and procedure was handled with the utmost professionalism. My family will have all our future dental care performed at this office.

At my recent visit to Lookout Mountain Dental, Karen did a wonderful job, as always, cleaning my teeth. She is highly skilled, thorough, gentle, informative, personable, and fun to visit with. Dr. K is always great too in all the same ways. I have been with this dental group for 15 years. They are the best!
