Wife and I have been twice in the last two years. Best spot I could find for a quick yearly clean without insurance (it's as much a nightmare for the office staff as it is for you, if not moreso). They charged $204 each for routine x-ray and cleaning. We can be in and out in under an hour, only waited a few minutes to be seen. Wife waited maybe 20 minutes because of complications with another patient, no big deal. She also asked about retainers and now they have one being made for like $350. It's good for 6 to 8 years - far better than the $150 we were paying for one every year ish. My mouth seems just as clean and happy as any other dentist office I've tried over the years. I haven't had any issues or complaints at all and they all seemed pretty chill and happy. My hygienist had over 20 years experience and was kind and polite. They bring their sweet little pup to work but you won't notice a dog there except when somebody enters and she pops around the corner to quietly observe. The TV could have whatever on it, at least it's muted and I'm never waiting long enough to notice it. There's definitely a small family business vibe and sometimes that comes with quirks but it's greatly preferred over the fake placating veneer of corporate professionalism.

Unbelievably rude front desk which is strange because I believe the receptionist is actually the dentist's wife. I would never try to hurt the business of my husband but to each their own I guess. Receptionist can be heard on the phone. Talking down to insurance companies on claims does not do this in a private manner at all which made my elderly relative who is a patient there feel very uncomfortable. We also overheard her talking down to the dental lab technicians as if she were much smarter than them and that they needed to do things her way. The superiority complex of this receptionist is mind-boggling. She even canceled patient appointments and could be heard telling another employee that she needed to leave early which was why she was doing so. This is unacceptable and I absolutely would not recommend as practice to anyone as long as she is there mishandling the business, the patience and the dental team even outside of her office. We will not be returning and I strongly advise that you all call your insurance companies and get a list of in-network providers so that you too can steer clear of this chaotically ran and very disorganized office. The fact that I'm even willing to sit down and take time out of my day to write this review is everything you need to know because I have literally never reviewed any other office or company or product in my entire life but this was so unbelievably unprofessional.

Unethical billing, manipulation, and lack of informed consent. After being with this dentist for a couple years, I came in with a painless chipped molar and told the dentist I was hoping for a simple fix like bonding—especially because I had a wedding reception coming up the following week. He seemed visibly uncomfortable when I mentioned bonding and even tried to convince me that it wasn’t a real thing. Without ever discussing different treatment options or costs, he began a full crown prep on the spot. No financial estimates. No insurance pre-determination. Only after the irreversible drilling was done did they inform me at checkout that the procedure would cost $1,100. I was shocked. I felt trapped and pressured, so I paid $415 on the spot in good faith. Panicked, I even upgraded my dental insurance the same day to try to offset the costs—but since the procedure had already begun, I lost the chance to go to an in-network provider. Later I realized what happened wasn’t just about money—it was about a complete failure to obtain informed consent. When I raised these concerns to the doctor, I was met with a dismissive attitude, threats of collections, and an inappropriate direct text from the dentist himself saying: “If you can pay for your vet and wedding, you can pay your dentist.” (This was in reference to my cat being hit by a car the week prior.) That comment was cruel, manipulative, and completely unprofessional. Initially, I left that office feeling stupid—like maybe I should have known better. But in time I realized this wasn’t about me. This was about a provider who: • Failed to communicate • Failed to get informed consent • And then tried to shame me for speaking up PSA for Patients: 🦷 Always ask for a written treatment plan and insurance pre-determination before agreeing to anything—even if you’ve been a long-time patient. Do not assume they will offer it. It’s clear this office will not.

We were recommended Ellis Dental as we are new to the area and it has been the best decision! They have great communication, treat each patient like family, and are a genuinely nice team! Also, the best cleaning I've had in years. My teeth have never felt so clean! Definitely recommend.
