Hoek Esthetic Family Dentistry

Hoek Dentistry has cared for me for 6 years and always delighted me. The crown work was perfect. However, I have been especially grateful for the dental hygienists. They are so elegant I find myself checking out during cleanings. I joke it’s better than my mediation app.

Billing practices lact transparency. Office collected immediate payments after every service rendered. Now I'm receiving bills from a denied claim by Delta Dental. The claim dated back from over a 1yr ago. They did the same for my son only the claim dated back three years! The last EOB from Delta stated that the said service I had been billed for, the patient payment owed was 0, ( procedure code 7150 extraction). Apparently, that wasn't correct either because after contacting Hoek billing office, the amount owed for that date was estimated to be trippled. Dental charges should be outlined in a signed treatment plan, agreed upon with any discrepancies settled in a timely fashion. If there's going to questionable coverage, then this should be explained prior to any procedure. Dentist should absolutely be paid for all work performed regardless of projected poor patient outcomes, which was my unfortunate experience. The Dentist was very talented, and gentle. Her hygienists were exceptionally efficient and considerate. Their charges seemed very reasonable. My family had been loyal clients for several years without any mention of outstanding balances. In fact, to my shock, the dentist actually told me on two occasions that she would not charge me for the visit. To spring enormous bills without any detailed explanation of an unpaid claim via the mail l, and lact of resolution with billing persons warrants the one star review. Buyer beware! In the future, I'm saving any and all treatment plans from any dentist for at least four years.
