I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dentistry of Virginia Beach and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I entered, the receptionist's warm welcome made me feel valued and at ease. Dr. Jorge Pelaez's expertise and professionalism were evident throughout my appointment. He took the time to explain my treatment options in detail, ensuring I felt informed and comfortable with the proposed care plan. His gentle approach and attention to detail made the entire experience painless and stress-free. One aspect that truly stood out was the practice's commitment to patient care. I was pleasantly surprised when they covered the cost of my fluoride treatment, demonstrating their dedication to promoting optimal oral health. It's rare to find a dental practice that goes above and beyond in this way. I never even made it inside this establishment. I booked a new patient appointment online. They called the next day and said they were going to be closed the day I booked for but could book for May (I scheduled for March). I said I’d call back after work to reschedule. Called back, they told me they were not accepting new patients. I explained I had been called earlier and offered an appt for May. Was then told soonest they could schedule me was August. I pulled up the website again and told the woman on the phone it says online I can schedule for July. The woman said “fine if you want to schedule online do that.” I explained I did not want to do that because the last time I did it was cancelled by the office hence I was now calling. Then she says she can put me down for July. I asked for the office manager to call me because at this point I was so confused. No one ever called. I tried calling another day, no one ever answered. Then I receive an odd email that states “Effective 2/10/25 (yesterday) we will no longer be accepting your insurance”. I really can’t tell if the front desk just doesn’t know what they’re doing or they don’t want to business but they have definitely lost mine.

My son and I have been patients of Dr. Palaez and his team for several years now. We've been incredibly happy with the level of care, bright, clean office, friendly staff, and timeliness of the appointments. They are always able to schedule our services at the same time, which adds another level of convenience. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough good things about Dentistry of VA Beach! There is almost never a wait, they always accommodating, and take such good care of their patients. Dr. Pelaez is very skilled and honest. He is so respectful and never tries to “sell” you on things you don’t need like many dentists do. I’ve moved away from the area, but I still come back for my dentist appointments here because of the exceptional care they provide. They truly are the best!
