Surgery Center of Kansas

As a healthcare worker, it was nice to see how the patient side of things were like here. Everyone was so caring and nice, and explained everything in full detail so I knew what was going on up until my discharge. Though it was a minor surgery, everyone treated me with the utmost care. The day after my surgery one of the nurses called to check in on how I was doing. I will definitely be recommending the surgery center of Kansas in the future!

This by far was one of the best experiences I’ve had and I am glad I got an opportunity to use the surgery center of Kansas. From the moment I walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile by Melissa and she was amazing. It is 8 o’clock in the morning. It was pouring rain and she had the brightest smile and so while my anxiety was high, she helped ease that quite a bit. From there, I was taken back by I believe her name was Kayla forgive me for not remembering her name, there was a lot of people and she was amazing. Acclimating me, and getting me ready for pre-op. I was I was appreciative of her time and attention. Next person I saw was Dr. Jeremy who was responsible for the run down on my anesthesia. He had high energy and he aLao explained what had happened with scheduling my appointment. He friendly, very informative and answered all my questions. He kind of sounded like the Dark Knight (Christian Bale). Dr. Chan came in next and checked in on me and said we were getting ready to get the party started so when he came he signed off on whatever the paperwork was. the wait was long, but it didn’t feel as long. When I say everyone there really seemed to like their job and enjoy what they do, that made me feel comfortable. Every interaction was pleasant and peaceful while in the operating room the ladies were very kind I met a young lady named Miranda and she was very very sweet and just helpful and they also all had cool hats and played awesome music in the operating room. The last person that I got to speak with was a lady by the name of Mindy. Mindy was also just as amazing as everyone else she helped me get back dressed and explained all of my rules and regulations that I needed to follow as I went home she made sure that my father who was with me understood as well and so I would say again this was one of the best experiences and I appreciate everything that everyone did while I was at the surgery center to have my procedure completed.

Dr. Gluck was awesome and addressed my injury quickly. I first had to go to the outpatient clinic and they were kind and respect to my injury in checking me in including Dr. Glocks assistant I had to be transferred to the surgical side. The only downside there is you had to repeat everything that you had just done in the clinic, so there was no cross informational connection with a hand injury. It was difficult to fill the paperwork out twice, although the electronic entry in the clinic was helpful. Once I got to the surgical side, everything was handled professionally with the exception of the lead nurse. I live alone without much family support As they all live in a distance, and I drove myself to the clinic when I reported that I didn’t have a ride Home she came to the waiting room in front of the All of the family that was waiting there and rather than help me solve a way to get home, she threatened me with nonpayment of And being released AMA. I am of means, and when I even mentioned having The plan to take an Uber home she continued to rant About punitive measures if I would go Without attendance. She kept going on and on about it, which was inappropriate. I am a Nurse practitioner, I can say that it was reckless and threatening, especially in light of my injury and low emotional reserve. Again, just to help problem solve the issue would’ve been the more Way of handling things she was brash and rude and again, not looking at solutions… I still am not quite understanding it… Completely unnecessary Otherwise five stars for my medical provider, his staff, and particularly the kind OR staff.

My experience has been great. Highly recommend them. Dr Chan and his team are very knowledgeable,helpful and kind. Glad I found them. One arm down one to go!

From the first moments to the final phone call, the staff were all kind, friendly, informative and professional! Each staff was genuinely concerned for my comfort and the explained plans for procedures. After surgery, same gentle informative care to send me home. Once home, they checked on me and responded to my call with questions! I couldn’t be more pleased! Great team! Thanks all!
