Deep Muscle Therapy and Skin Care Center

After a failed Spinal Fusion surgery in 2022, I was left with having to have a Two-Stage, Spinal Revision surgery on 1/2 & 1/3 in 2025. Although my 2nd & 3rd Spinal surgeries were a success, because of 3 Spinal surgeries, I was left with a lot of scar tissues in my back. Due to the scar tissues I was left with debilitating daily pain day and even worse at night as I was trying to sleep. I was referred to Deep Muscle Therapy and Skin Care Center in Wilmington, DE by a friend. My Therapist, Janet recommended a Myofascial Release session because of scar tissue due to multiple surgeries to my back! Janet was Absolutely Amazing! 🙏🏽 She is extremely knowledgeable in her craft knowing exactly what areas to work on in my back and as a result she brought me much relief. That evening of my therapeutic session, I intentionally did not take my pain medications because I needed to know if I would experience any relief that night and next day! Every night prior to my Myofascial Release I would toss & turn all night due to horrible pain in my back and also referred pain in both hips. I would wake up 2-3-4-5-6 or more times every night, and that’s with taken my pain medications. By morning it’s extremely painful getting out of bed and pain all day. I was referred to Deep Muscle Therapy Center by a friend and decided to give them a call. I thought I needed a Lymphatic Drainage session, but after meeting with Janet and her going over my history she explained to me the importance of breaking up the scar tissues in my back that have been causing me such pain and discomfort and for that she suggested and explained to me the importance of a Myofascial Release for scar tissue. Janet is an extremely knowledgeable Therapist. She explained to me what she was doing and why but most importantly how it will benefit me. After my Myofascial Release appointment: I did not have any pain the entire night! I did not wake up at all during the night! I woke up this morning very nervous because I thought I was going to start my day, like every day in extreme pain! To my surprise I woke up pain free and at 4pm, as I write this review, I am still pain free! Having Janet as my Therapist was a great experience for me and my wellbeing. Janet is extremely gentle, knowledgeable, and professional. She explained to me how a Myofascial Release treatment would benefit me and why it was imperative to start with this type of therapy and how beneficial it would be for me. Jessica is amazing!!! First time going there for a deep tissue massage. She was so nice and easy to talk to. I really connected with her. Great massage!! I was sad my guy left from other place I was going to, but I’m so glad I found Jessica! Already scheduled for another massage in a couple weeks! I’m feeling better in just a couple of hours of getting it. I’ve had pain for a couple of months from chronic stress and thinking this has kicked it out. Also, the place is beautiful and has a low key welcoming vibe. Thank you so much for an amazing experience. 😄

My husband and I have been getting massages here since we moved to DE a few years ago and we will never go anywhere else. Every therapist has been so talented and knowledgeable. Our schedules can be really tough sometimes and reception has always tried their hardest to accommodate that, which we have been very grateful for. We've done massage services with several of their therapists and have not been disappointed once.

Had an incredible 2 hr therapeutic deep tissue massage from Jessica! She was super personable and professional the entire time...and I appreciate that she really focused on the muscles that were bothering me. I feel great today, and can't wait to go back. Worth every penny!
