I booked my service online and arrived a few minutes early. The front door was propped open, so the space stayed noticeably cold for the entire visit—definitely not the “relaxation” temperature I was hoping for. A polite woman greeted us and led me into the middle of the relaxation area. Along the back wall were several people (I assume staff) sitting on their phones. The room was dim with light music playing, and the setup included a handful of cloth lounge-style chairs lined with older-looking beach towels, plus a few sit-down massage chairs in the center. Unfortunately, the cloth seating immediately raised a hygiene concern for me. With people resting their heads and bodies on fabric chairs all day, it’s hard to feel confident they can be properly sanitized between clients. My brain went straight to the “lice and bedbugs” panic spiral, which is not the vibe you want before a massage. For the foot portion, I was given a bucket lined with a plastic bag and filled with lukewarm water, which was cold by the end of the service. I also wasn’t asked about provider preference and was assigned a male therapist. I personally would have preferred a woman, and it would have been helpful to be given the option. During the service, a cold beach towel was placed over my lap and what felt like an old dish rag over my eyes—kind of like DIY horse blinders (funny, but also…are these freshly washed each time? It didn’t feel like it). The massage itself included head/hand/foot work, but the overall environment wasn’t very calming. People were coming and going, and doors were opening and closing throughout, which made it hard to settle in. There were also a couple techniques that caught me off guard—specifically some unexpected “smacking” on my legs, and then an upper-thigh massage at the end that felt jarring given that I was blindfolded and it hadn’t been explained beforehand. Overall, this wasn’t the experience I expected, and I won’t be returning. I do think the business could really benefit from clearer explanations of what’s included in each service (especially what areas may be touched and what techniques may be used), asking clients about therapist preference when possible, and posting accurate, up-to-date photos of the interior so people know what to expect.

Very relaxing. I got a facial and head spa. I started with a facial, which was very soothing. Facial then transitioned straight into the head spa. So it was seamless and I never had to change rooms. The head spa was very relaxing and included head, shoulder and neck massage. I left feeling relaxed and enjoyed the experience. My only negative is I was confused to which door to enter. I enter the Asian spa and sat for 15 minutes before being told I needed to go next door. Other than that I enjoyed the experience and will go again.

I had one of the best massages of my life here. Tina was wonderful. I did the one-hour Shiatsu massage, and the pressure was perfect. She checked in with me several times to make sure it felt right and even went back over a few tight spots when I asked. I followed it with a 30 minute head reflexology session, which was basically an amazing scalp massage. I lived in Bangladesh for years, and one of my favorite things there were the scalp massages that were so common. After moving to the U.S., I thought I’d never find anything like that again (at least not without paying a fortune). This was exactly what I’ve been missing. I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. The massage was in a private room with a proper massage table. I saw some reviews mentioning noise and shared spaces, but the only public area I saw was for foot massages, which is normal if you’ve ever been to massage spots in Thailand or Asia. Even that space looked quiet and dimly lit. My room had peaceful music and was very calm. The prices for both the back and head massages were reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly and I’m planning to try the foot massage next time. I’m so glad I found this place!

I did a 60 minute Aveda head spa treatment and added a 60 minute therapeutic massage. I just have to say: this was the most relaxed I have ever felt in my life! My massage therapist was kind and considerate, and always made sure I was comfortable. The head spa specifically was just incredible and my hair feels so soft. The heated eye mask, soft weighted blanket, eucalyptus and lavender steam, and warm water made it feel like taking a hot shower in the comfort of my own bed. I will absolutely be back and could not recommend Asian Relaxation Center more!

It was fine. Nothing special, very little time in each area. It felt like 5 minutes of this, 5 of that, nothing intense enough, and the parts that seemed like they'd be great were over quickly. Literally, like a formula they follow because my friend is even more disappointed than me, with the same complained. The woman had a great touch, but rarely used it. I actually had to tell the woman that it was getting so boring laying there with the steam on my head and that I'd like her to DO something. For $100 and hour, I'd say save your money and try a place that actually focuses on your scalp and is much more hands on.
