Dr. Matthias and his entire team are exceptionally professional, polite, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. I always have a positive experience at Your Dentistry Today, either if it’s major dental work or a basic cleaning. Would recommended this office to anyone!

I was WOWED by Dr. Matthias and his YDT staff today. I had a crown pop off over the weekend. I don't have a dentist so I stopped in Dr. M's 13th St. office today, without an appointment, to find what the ordeal might cost me. Even though I wasn't in any distress, he fit me in then and there. He carefully examined the tooth and the crown, X-rayed the tooth and determined reattaching the crown to be a fine option. Everything was completed in no more than 45 minutes. The staff is friendly & helpful, the office is clean and comfortable, and has a "good vibe" about it. Based on today's experience, I have a new dentist and have already scheduled my cleaning, x-rays & exam. I'd recommend Dr. M to anyone. I believe he would be great with people who have dental anxiety.

Dr. Matthias and his practice Your Dentistry Today is my first and only choice when it comes to dental care. I have been a patient of his for many years and I can say that the level of care, the level of knowledge he brings to his patients, and the level of trust I have in him is exceptional. He is the best! Your dental health is so important to your overall health, and Dr. Matthias provides painless and effective attention to this important part of maintaining your overall health.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. Dr. Mathias is not a pediatric dentist and from personal experience, he does not have the bedside manner to be one. However, his dental assistant, Alyssa, is so amazing with kids and we miss her a lot. This incident happened 6/2023, but I am making an official review now because it still upsets me. For background, I am an anesthesiologist and provide general anesthesia for pediatric dental rehabilitation so I know what is good patient care and what is not. Dr. Mathias and I had a 30 minute phone conversation in preparation for my 6yo son’s cavity filling. I asked him specifically if he felt comfortable doing pediatric dental work because he often refers kids to Dr. Matthews, a local pediatric dentist (who I often work with at the hospital). Dr. Mathias insisted he was comfortable caring for children, and all my son would need is local anesthesia for the procedure. My son loves going to the dentist and is very cooperative. He lets them take X-rays and scrape his teeth without any resistance. My 6yo tolerated the needle injection of local anesthesia, but unfortunately, he did not understand the sensation of being numb. He was crying and said he felt like he could not breathe. Dr. Mathias responded with frustration, saying he only had one hour scheduled for this appointment. He threatened to take me out of the room if my son didn’t start cooperating, leaving my son alone with just himself and the dental assistant (not Alyssa for this procedure). Dr. Mathias threw his dental instruments down on his tray and stormed out the room, only to return a minute later and whisper to my son, “just so you know, you’re not leaving here with a hole in your tooth.” He then stormed back out. The filling still needed to be completed, and I held my son until he calmed down enough for them to do the filling. When it was done, we left in tears. Dr. Mathias said nothing to us as we walked out. I called immediately after to have our records transferred to Dr. Matthews.

Dr. Matthias is awesome! Not only talented, but he is kind, flexible, and truly cares about his patients. My child has a difficult case with ongoing work needed, and he has been there to help us every step of the way, communicating with us personally and helping us find solutions. I'd recommend him without hesitation.
