Glowbar Hingham

First time going, the esthetician I had was extremely knowledgeable and nice, and talked thru each and every step which I loved. But one downside is it's very clinical, it felt like being at the Drs office instead of a relaxing experience. Very white and bright interior, which looks clean for sure but doesn't bring a relaxing feel. It's very cut and dry, you wash your own face at the beginning, and during the facial no product is put on your neck as well which I didn't love. There's no extra massage for your neck/shoulders. If you're looking for a very straightforward facial with no bells and whistles it's great. And she did use some really cool things on my face so it kinda justified the price. But I do like the facials that are more of an experience rather than just a treatment. I tipped, which my esthetician deserved every penny of, but for $96 I was just hoping for a little more tlc while treating myself. I'll probably be back once in a while but it felt a little bare bones for the price in my honest opinion.

Review I really wanted Glowbar to work for me because I genuinely like the concept of an affordable 30-minute facial. Unfortunately, after multiple visits — including stacking two facials into a full hour — I’ve realized the issue isn’t time, it’s the method. The amount of product used is extremely minimal, and applying products via gloves with such small quantities means the skin never feels saturated or properly treated. Even after an hour-long appointment, the experience felt surface-level. Doubling the time did not improve the results — it was essentially the same treatment repeated. The biggest red flag for me was the next day. Typically, after a facial, my skin shows visible signs of glow and hydration. After Glowbar, my skin still looked dry and unimproved, which confirmed that the products weren’t penetrating. I’ve had 30-minute facials elsewhere that felt far more effective because of technique, tools, and proper product application. While I applaud Glowbar for the accessibility and concept, the execution falls short. At $65, I personally would rather put that money toward a facial where results and skin saturation are prioritized. I will be completing the four-month minimum membership requirement, but based on my experience, I’ll be canceling after that period.

My first visit exceeded my expectations. Glowbar Hingham was spotless. Julia and Iris were welcoming and professional. I really appreciated how personalized the facial was to my skin’s needs. My skin was left glowing, and the all-inclusive treatment is affordable and quite remarkable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This was my first facial at Glowbar! Gabriella took such amazing care of me; she was gentle, friendly and attentive, explaining each step and what each product was doing for my skin. Her voice and her hands were magic. At the end, I was refreshed and absolutely glowing!
