Rubenstine is great and the staff is generally amazing, however, the office should reconsider Dr. Persky. I’d highly recommend that you pursue another option if he’s the only dentist available. He began my filling yesterday by accidentally poking the outside of my lower lip with the numbing needle. It wasn’t a trust-building move, but for that alone, I wouldn’t have written a negative review. Accidents happen; I get it. Once the numbing agent wore off, I realized my bite was out of alignment and I returned to get the filling adjusted. They were able to get me back in right away, and I really appreciated that. Throughout the adjustment, however, Persky was condescending, repeatedly telling me that even though my bite felt off to me, it was all in my head. Was I polite? I was. Did he roll his eyes at me as he abruptly walked out of the room in frustration? He did. Had he simply said, “hey, I get it, what you’re feeling is normal. your alignment is going to feel a little off for a few days. it won’t cause any issues in the long run,” I wouldn’t be complaining. Instead, he told me “no, you’re not feeling that.” Here’s some unsolicited advice for doctors everywhere: don’t ever tell a patient that they’re not feeling something. This recommendation is all the more crucial if you’re a man and the patient isn’t a man. Even more so if you’re a white man and the patient is a black woman. Again, I want to re-emphasize that staff was empathetic and offered a follow-up appointment with Dr. Rubenstine. Persky is a liability to the reputation of the practice.

I joined this practice about 4 years ago when my dentist retired and have been so impressed. I had been contemplating getting crowns on discolored front teeth for over a decade, but I was nervous they would look artificial. Dr. Rubinstein promised me that she would ensure I was happy with them. Well, I finally did it, this past month, and they look AMAZING! They look almost exactly like my natural teeth, except not discolored. This exceptional quality is aligned with every dental cleaning and procedure I have had at this practice. They use state of the art technology and the highest standard of care. Highly recommend.

I randomly selected this dental office when I moved here from out of state a few years ago. It was very hard to find an office that was accepting new patients and I was happy that they would have me. I admit my last dental office in Atlanta rocked so much that it would almost be impossible to match satisfaction. I would’ve liked to at least given this place a B though and I tried. I was first with a dentist who gossiped about her hygienist. Every time she left the room and seemed to have an attitude problem towards others as well. I had and still have issues with a cavity that was filled from a few years ago. She got an attitude with me when I said that her best efforts were not resolving the pain that I was feeling so I finally just gave up. She has now since left the practice. I most recently was with a hygienist who took it upon herself to give me all the scoop on what was going on with that previous Dentist and why she really left. I just wanna come in and get my teeth cleaned but what’s really got me is that I just received an almost $500 bill for a service performed a year ago. I am now out of work and don’t have the money to pay it. I understand that sometimes the insurance process can take time, but this should’ve been flagged and I should’ve been made aware instead of receiving a sudden out of nowhere bill a year later. And honestly, the practice should’ve written it off. It’s super obvious on my bill that they were late in trying to collect. At the bare minimum, I should’ve received a phone call. Do better. I canceled my next appointment and will no longer be a patient at this office. May as well go to a chain dentist- thats what this felt like. I was just another number. Not what I would expect from a family practice.
