After getting out of the Army, it was really hard for me to find a doctor who would actually listen to what I was going through. For a long time it felt like I was just getting shot after shot in my back without anyone really trying to understand the bigger picture of what was causing my pain. That all changed when I met Dr. Renk. From the beginning, she truly listened to everything I had to say. Instead of just treating the symptoms, she and her team actually take the time to research the best options and then explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. That means a lot when you’re dealing with chronic pain and just want someone to take you seriously. I also want to say how great the entire staff has been. Kaleb is one of the top-tier employees on Dr. Renk’s team. He makes you feel like part of the family and his kindness really stands out. I always look forward to coming in because of how welcoming and supportive he is. The front desk staff has also been amazing. They always take the time to answer my questions and help me find appointment times that work for my schedule. I’ll admit I’ve missed my fair share of appointments in the past, but they’ve always worked with me, and I’ve made sure to improve on that because I never want to lose the care I receive here. I will continue to get my care with Dr. Renk and her team. If you’re dealing with pain and don’t know what to do or where to turn, I truly believe they will help you find the right path forward. I often tell people about Radio Frequency Ablations and the difference they’ve made in my life thanks to Dr. Renk and her team. I’m grateful for the care, the kindness, and the effort they put into helping their patients get better.

Dr. Nixon was extremely helpful in my HEDS and was able to provide me with new treatments that I had not been offered before. He also was very informative in explaining why I am experiencing the type of pain I have been and providing some direction as to where we can look. The very first appointment he was able to schedule me multiple treatments for issues that other doctors told me I would just have to live with. The front seat staff were also so helpful in the referral and scheduling process which made everyone smooth and easy.

I had my initial appointment with Dr. Nixon today, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and professional. The reception area is clean and inviting, and the receptionists were kind and friendly. The staff who took my vitals and intake questions were patient, empathetic, and truly listened to my concerns. Meeting Dr. Nixon was a relief—he was compassionate, attentive, and took my pain seriously without making me feel uncomfortable or dismissed. I felt heard and supported throughout the entire visit, which means so much when dealing with ongoing pain. Overall, this was a great experience, and I’m grateful to have found a provider and team that genuinely care about their patients. Highly recommend!

They were busy when my appointment occurred, since this was my first appointment with Alpenglow Pain and Wellness, I wasn't sure what to expect, due to how busy they were my knee jerk thought was that I would be rushed in and rushed out with a quick diagnosis; this wasn't the case at all. I was listened to, I was given a tremendous amount of information about my diagnosis, and I was given options and space to make my own decisions about what to do next. There was no pressure at all to rush. My experience was excellent.

Cynthia Dunleavy was exceptionally polite and courteous during our initial appointment and evaluation. I genuinely appreciated the time she took to review my intake information, attentively listen to my concerns as a patient, and thoroughly conduct the assessment.
