BKK Thai Massage

I would love to rate this higher but here is the issue. I booked a morning massage for my wife and I and they called 30 min before to change the time to 2 hours later. Ok I get it things happen. While there my massage was stopped no less than 14 times to answer the phone. Answer the door explain to various people walking in that they would have to come back mean while the darn door bell keeps blasting bing bong bing bong. Seriously I come to a massage to get rid of the stress and yet what’s the point if I leave with more?? Maya who I did not get nor did my wife today is the best!!! Hopefully you have a better experience than I did. They do a very good job but stop answering the phone while someone is paying for a massage. Also put a sign at the front If you’re not going to have a greeter. ( sorry we are full up next opening is in one hour pleasure come back then) this way you don’t leave someone laying on the table feeling like they don’t matter.

Massages are great. I have been there multiple times and referred friends and family. The reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because of the greed of one of the ladies. The recent lady that did my 90-minute massage complained about tip and only gave me options to tip $20 or $30. Given that they enter that manually on their end, you feel pressured to tip a lot and look at you with judgement if you tip any less than that. She wouldn’t finalize my payment until I tipped her at least $20. We had a stare-down for about 30 seconds since she kept insisting and wouldn’t even take a $10. Pretty disappointing to say the least and I won’t be back.

This is such a hard review for me cause I have been a couple times now as walk in, and absolutely love their massages. I would give a 5 star, but I called day of to get on their schedule last weekend and when I showed up to my scheduled time, they had the door locked and refused anymore customers as they were too busy. Very disappointing, but I will still be back and back again as it’s soooo worth the massage and true Thai technique they offer. Don’t let the metal beams scare you, they use it for full body work which is how I knew it’d be a good authentic massage when I walked in. See picture (post-massage).

This was my third visit to BKK. My first two experiences with their massage therapist called Pixie were excellent, which is why I decided to return. However, this time was a complete disappointment. The therapist assigned named “Lisa” had only three months of experience, and it was the worst massage I’ve ever had in my 20 years of receiving massages. I gave it 30 minutes, hoping it would improve, but it didn’t. She simply pressed on my body in a way anyone could do, poured oil over me, and just spread it around with barely any pressure. I eventually requested a different therapist, who thankfully way much better. When it came time to pay, I left a 10-15% tip on the total bill. However, the staff member processing my payment commented that the tip was too small for two therapists. I explained that the first therapist provided such poor service that tipping generously would not be fair. I even suggested they try her massage to understand my dissatisfaction. Aren’t tips supposed to reflect good service? This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I won’t be returning. I’ll find another place in the future and wouldn’t recommend BKK to anyone.

I had an hour massage today! I had hot rocks and warm oil, and it was the best massage I truly have ever had. I will be back! Thank you Pixie!
