Very disappointing billing experience with this dental office!!!😡😡😡 I received a statement for $140 that simply listed “balance forward” with no explanation of the services or procedures being billed. When I contacted the office to request an itemized statement or clarification, they were unable to provide a clear breakdown and directed me to contact my dental insurance instead. After speaking with my insurance company, they confirmed the claim was submitted by the dental office as bundled X-rays. Once the claim is processed that way, insurance cannot modify it — only the dental office can address the billing. To make matters more confusing, the statement I received says the balance is over 90 days old, yet this was the first bill I received. I have been seeing dental providers at different clinics for decades and have never experienced such extremely poor billing transparency or lack of explanation for charges. Billing transparency and clear communication about costs are extremely important in healthcare. Unfortunately this experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I will not be returning to this clinic and will never recommend this clinic! Awful customer service too I made several attempts to resolve this directly with the office before posting this review, but unfortunately the issue was never clearly addressed.

Dr. Paape is professional, gentle, kind and does the highest quality dental work. Thank you for taking great care of my dental treatment needs while making it comfortable at my appointment.

Truthfully. His Bedside manner is off. He watched television when he was doing my sons dental fillings. As for myself personally, it was a nightmare. Thankfully, I was able to find a dentist who could fix my problems and take care of me. I am now free from all dental issues and dental pain from a different provider. This dentist could not help me with simple dental procedures, and the work that he did do, he put me in a place where I was in a lot of pain, sick, and uncomfortable and afraid to return to any other dentist to finish what he could not do. Not to mention that during my recovery, just a few days after a surgical extraction that he performed, he decided to go on vacation and leave me with no one to attend to me in case of an emergency. I ended up with a dry socket along with an infection. I had to seek out expensive emergency treatments, which was an expensive additional cost to me. However, I am glad that I looked elsewhere because the problem was not me.! He did, however refund me for the bridge that he made that did not fit, but I still had to pay for the horrific work that he did to my mouth. I wanted to leave an honest review. If you are looking for a dentist, I do not recommend this one. Not only was he completely unprofessional to myself, but to my son as well. If more people left, honest reviews, I would not have chosen this Dentist. Considering our experience there, we are certain that we are not the only ones left tainted by this office. Jessica D

Dr. Paape and his staff do amazing work. His cosmetic dentistry is extraordinary, and his genuine concern for his patients is very apparent. I have a special needs child and the staff and Dr Paape are all so kind and interact with her in such a way that she has no qualms about going to see the Dentist. I wouldn’t even consider taking her anywhere else. I can’t say enough good things about the top-notch, quality dental care that my entire family receives from Northstar Dental.

Best experience ever! My daughter and I went yesterday 12/5/17 and everyone is so genuine and kind. From making the appointment to check out was 100% amazing. I was so impressed. Old fashioned hospitality and it was just so rare but real. Thank you so much and we will back for sure! I will never go anywhere else again. You all made us feel important and special and really know your stuff. Very good communication through the whole process!
