Sanctuary Spa & Salon

My husband planned a week of surprises for my 70th birthday and the biggest surprise was a half day spa package! I was so surprised, excited, and anxious as I had heard about Sanctuary and it came highly recommended from a friend who has a hair salon in Billings. It has been years since I have had a full body massage and it was the part of the package I was most excited about! John planned and booked the spa package over 2 weeks before the appointment. If there wasn't enough time to make the package work in a timely manner (4 hours), you should have told him. He could have gone elsewhere. Sanctuary even texted thanking him, then again to ensure the time and date. I arrived on time (10:00) on the 10th of January, and my massage wasn't on the schedule, so y'all scrambled. I got undressed, got a great foot bath, wonderful facial, then I was to get dressed for a pedicure so I could get undressed with wet toenails for a massage???? Okay...good pedicure, but she lightly painted my toenails because I was supposed to get a massage next and she was hoping my nails would dry. No massage. I was to get my hair done, then get undressed for a massage. WHAT?? Are y'all going to do my hair again? No. I would have to wait until 2:30ish when the masseuse could fit me in. It was 1:30. 60 minutes for a massage, out by 4:00ish with a 2.5 hour drive home. I was so upset, I didn't get the massage. All the staff were nice, but, "We're so sorry, but we don't have anyone available." I have been a licensed cosmotologist for 51 years. I used to be the Director of Education for the International Beauty Shows (IBS), so I understand how to schedule and how mistakes can be made. BUT YOU CONFIRMED, and messed up. It left me a sad customer and you made a stain on my 70th birthday surprise. That's why the 2 stars.

The staff have always been cheerful, helpful, and understanding anytime I've spoken to them on the phone :) in person they are just as inviting!!!! Without getting into to much detail.... I wasn't totally satisfied with a cut so returned the following morning terrified to offend or upset and honestly a bit embarrassed to be "that customer"..... they didn't make me feel like "that customer" for even a second!!!! They attentively listened to my concerns, offered prompt solutions, and did an amazing job correcting it!!! I wish I wasn't so bad with names... think it was Kenzie at the front, who immediately made me feel relived I had come in and Ozzie (stylist) worked with me until my hair was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT ♡ all the staff I saw that day were encouraging and reassuring, they obviously aren't just there to make a paycheck but to make people's day :)

This review is for their spa and nail services. Facials, massages, pedicures and manicures. They do a wonderful job! Very professional and will listen to your requests so don't be afraid to ask. The spa area is built to be relaxing and calm. Definitely recommend arriving early and taking advantage of the steam room. It's in the spa area if you are unsure where it is just ask your spa attendant and they'll show you exactly where it is.

Tiffany has been amazing with all of my waxes. She has adjusted to add-ons, has excellent bedside manner, and is thorough to where I trust that the hairs are all gone. And I’m not an easy wax! I appreciate the products used as well because they soothe my skin. Any body/facial waxing you need, Sanctuary Salon & Spa is the place. Thank you Tiffany!

I booked the head spa experience for both my daughter & myself. I ended up canceling mine. Our appointments were supposed to be at the same time, they were not. The gal who worked on my daughter was very nice & did a wonderful job. I can’t say as much for the rest of the “spa”. The staff was so loud & obnoxious in their conversations with each other - on the salon floor. Not professional at all. It was anything but relaxing or a spa like environment. To say the least it was very dissatisfying & disappointing - we will not be going back. I might also add other Aveda spas have the same service for $30 LESS!!
