Tranquility Therapeutic Massage & Spa

A massage so good I told my masseuse I loved her! (Thanks Jo) Had a couples massage with Jo and Jessica, this was a redo massage and this was awesome. Got in on the same day and we were treated very well. Our masseuses came in and asked us questions about pressure, any pain locations and other questions to cater to us. Everything we said, they did it. My problem area got worked and felt so much better after. We came in a few days after a wedding weekend and it was the perfect way to relax. The couples experience here is insanely cool, I hope they continue doing it! Flowers, rose petals, NA mimosas, cheesecake!! What not to love. Right after my massage I told a lot of my family and the wedding couple to come here. Glad we gave them another shot because this was a wonderful massage for us both!

The massage therapist I saw was top notch! Unfortunately, the receptionist ruined the overall experience. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, and I was greeted with “you’re early” in a snide tone. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by showing up early. After the appointment, was the first I had heard that I would have to pay a 3.5% fee to use my credit card, that really deflated my blissful zen feeling after my massage. I mentioned to the receptionist that they should really let customers know that when booking. I told her I hadn’t seen that on their website and no one mentioned it to me when I originally called to book. Her response, “well, everyone charges for that now.” Not only is that not true (I had a massage elsewhere in SF and didn’t get charged an extra cc fee) but it is 0.5%-1.5% more than I have seen at other businesses that pass that fee onto their customers. But what really got me was her rude attitude and making me feel like I was annoying her. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that is not how I expected to feel when entering and leaving a spa. I gave 3 stars for overall experience since my therapist was amazing! The poor customer service from the receptionist really brought down the overall ambiance for me. Bethany was born to be a massage therapist! She is kind and compassionate, and knows how to make someone feel truly cared for. This was the best massage I have ever had, and she truly tailored it to my needs. This is the first time in 7+ years that I have been pain free in my neck and right shoulder. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I wanted to give Tranquility 5 stars, but I really didn’t like how the receptionist made me feel. So, between my 1 star experience with the receptionist and 5 star experience with Bethany, it averaged out to 3 stars.

Amazing massage! I had a headache and body ache for over a week and Angela B ensured it was gone before I even left! Between the amazing massage, hot stones, and cupping she truly knows what she is doing. I appreciate her fitting me in last minute and making me feel comfortable, relaxed, and healing my body. Thank you again Angela so very much!

Cecelia is a 11/10! I received a deep tissue/sports massage the other day and it was the most relaxed I've felt since being in my mother's womb probably. As it was my first massage ever I was a bit nervous and didn't know what to expect. Cecelia was super amazing and made me feel very comfortable the entire session! I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone I know about her!

Mackenzie was outstanding, I can't recommend her enough. She was extremely helpful and easy to talk with regarding my issues. She did such a phenomenal job of helping me work through some of the most troublesome spots. Great first-time experience here. I will be back!
