Well, a week after the excavations and all is well. My diet has changed some though; missing crushing teeth means fewer "crunchy" foods (as prescribed Doctor Harnish, rightly so; first couple of days with some suturing involved had "tender spots"). I am considering founding the "Pull Your Teeth Out, Lose Weight Diet Plan" (though it may already exist). The Doctor personally followed up with me the day after to see patient's condition. I was somewhat shocked and pleased that he took the time and that I could report no problems. Pre-procedure prep was handled thoroughly by Nichole (forgive me if names are changed; local anesthesia may have leaked into brain) including F2 race to watch during work from monitor mounted on the ceiling! Hadn't seen that race and must admit, almost fell asleep (typical when viewing Formula 1 races too; boring usually). Some tugging and sawing later, sutured up, gauze stuffed and I was out the door. Must admit to some trepidation pre-procedure, not having had much filling, grinding, digging done in the past (no cavities 'til age 40+) but wasn't really concerned. Nicole, the dental hygienist last year was great and Dr. Harnish instills confidence with his thoroughness and consideration of the patient which smoothed the way to completion. This is just Phase I of more to come here. In the meantime, the front of the office continues to be capably manned by Veronica and Kelly, who have guided me through the often opaque maze of finance and enrolled me in the Arch Dental Season Pass! That is all for now but for a related anecdote. Was at the NDSU Archives later that day and, on taking a drink from my bottled water, was convinced that the neck had broken on it! NO. Novocaine still doing its' thing. Didn't dribble though... p.s. should be illegal to have people named Nicole and Nichole in the same office; just sayin' p.p.s. pic below is of Skillet Fried Rice, just one of the new Mushy Meals Food Diet for Dental Patients* (patent pending) p.p.p.s. the second is of a Lady Bug p.p.p.p.s. really cool building (researches some at archives that day, and immaculately clean every time I have been there

Called me many months after a visit. The way my insurance is set up I have to pay in full for dental work upfront. Insurance then sends me a check for what was covered. Arch dental didn't charge me the full amount and then called me saying I owed a bill of $139. If they would of had their numbers right and charged me the day I was there it would have been fine. But now I had to pay for something I had done 6 months ago. Very frustrating. If the business under charged that is their fault not mine. I will not be stepping foot back in this place. The work they did also made my tooth hurt for months. I've never had pain from dental work before that lasted longer than a few days.

I seriously can’t recommend Arch Dental enough. I’m a student in the area and dental visits used to make me super anxious, but they completely changed that for me. In just two visits they already have me feeling confident about my smile again. Everyone there is incredibly kind, patient, and explains everything in a way that actually makes sense instead of feeling overwhelming. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and want you to feel comfortable. If you’re nervous about the dentist or have been putting it off, this is the place to go. So grateful I found them!!!

I have been with Dr. Harnish since he took over this practice from Dr. Sterns with whom I was treating. I have been very happy with Dr. Harnish as he is honest, competent, and straightforward. He is very caring about me as a patient and as a person. He asks questions because he really cares not to just make conversation. He respects my decisions on my dental work even when I know he may not necessarily agree. The best thing about treating with Dr. Harnish is that Nicole is my hygienist who is all caps - FANTASTIC!

The minute I stepped in to Arch Dental I knew it would be different from what I was used to: modern, bright, plants and good music. I was further impressed by the equipment and techniques used. My cleaning took half the time than my former office. The staff was genuinely engaged in my care, so helpful and kind. They make you feel so comfortable (blanket, sunglasses, and even movies) and And Dr. Harnish took time to answer my questions and I had a lot of them, before moving ahead with my care plan. I highly recommend this dental office.
