Alta Dental of Maine

I’ve been going to Alta for over 10 years. It’s a great small practice with caring professionals and a convenient location. They provide dental care for our whole family, and we’ve consistently had great experiences. I also appreciate their strong focus on preventive care and that they aren’t aggressive with treatments. They explain things clearly, make sure we understand our options, and always encourage questions.

I’ve been going to Alta Dental in Freeport for about 15 years. Dr. Wetherhold is an excellent caregiver: not only has he done outstanding work on fillings and bridges for me, he recommended a PT therapist who finally solved the problem behind the chronic jaw problems I’ve had for nearly 50 years. His hygienists are kind, friendly and very skilled as well. All around, the best dental practice I’ve had in my life (I’m 70).

Becky at Alta Dental was great!! I enjoyed the light conversation as well as leaving without jaw and teeth pain after my cleaning. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the fire on the TV was a nice touch. Thank you!!

Dr Wetherhold and staff are the best. If you’re looking for a personal approach to dentistry this is the place. The space has great natural lighting and is so comfortable, everyone is friendly and warm, and I feel like I am getting great care without feeling like they are just trying to upcharge and sell me a bunch of services. Highly recommend

The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. You are just a dental patient, but a whole human to them. If you aren't able to floss or brush as much as is recommended, they ask questions to understand your barriers and offer suggestions to help you take better care of your teeth in a way that is compassionate and educational not shaming. I appreciate that a lot having trauma triggers that sometimes get in my way of successful dental hygeine. My family of four all go hear and we are all happy with our care here and they remember information about our family such as that we are into robotics. It's not like we're just another number passing through and that's why we choose to keep coming back.
