Miles of Smiles

I am unsure what happened within the last few years or so, but I unfortunately am switching practices as the negatives have now outweighed the benefits. I have been a patient for years, I want to say at least 10. Within the last year or so, I have had numerous appointments canceled by the practice due to various unknown reasonings (I just had my cleaning scheduled this week canceled yesterday due to "schedule change"). Which I can see others have experienced the same. Mind you, the cleaning before this was also canceled last minute, with the new offered appointment being months away due to scheduling. Additionally, the last two cleanings I have had I have not seen an actual dentist. After my cleaning I was told by the hygienist my teeth "look good" and I was on my way. I tried to stick it through as long as I could, as the hygienists have always been great there, however the unorganized scheduling, come and go staffing, it is just not worth it anymore. It is a shame because the location itself was great and convenient.

First time here as a new patient and honestly a great experience. Everyone at the front desk was really helpful with scheduling, insurance, and explaining the appointment cost. Abbey, the dental assistant, did a great job talking me through everything. Definitely recommend this office.

I would given this place a zero star if I could. You would probably get better service at a gentle dental or aspen than this place. I have been a dental assistant for 17 years and I have never seen an office more unorganized. They had the wrong phone number for me…had my husbands instead of mine. I was only going into the office for a cleaning. Front desk did not confirm my insurance information (it changed since the last appt) told me I had to pay upfront. I asked what insurance and they couldn’t tell me. I have always paid my bills before I leave. And in the dental industry you can have a bill after insurance so I understand that. But I only go for cleanings which are cover by my insurance. So very straight forward. Then it took them almost 30 minutes to verify my new insurance and there was no othrr patients in office or in chairs. They continued to say I had a balance and I told them to print it and they “couldn’t” then they tell me it’s my husbands balance…..what’s that have to do with me? They wanted me to pay his balance before they would see me. That is not how things go in ANY dental office. Also….you will never get the same Dr when you go in…they are always changing. And now not even the same hygienist. One Dr told me I needed a ton of dental work…the others said no. Again I work in a dental office and get my teeth checked all the time. I work for a root canal specialist so we don’t have a hygienist in office. They told my husband that he needed all this work he did not need done. We would only go for cleanings because my office is in MA and I know all the dentist in the area but too far to go for just a cleaning. DO NOT go here.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Miles of Smiles! From the moment we walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the team made us feel right at home. They truly listen and ensure you understand every step of the process. The front desk staff is incredibly welcoming, and the hygienists are not only skilled but also excel in communication, making the experience even more enjoyable. The doctor is gentle and treats you like family, only recommending treatments when absolutely necessary to ensure you leave with a smile you love. I used to dread going to the dentist, but this office has completely changed that for me—it's a comfortable and pleasant environment. They are also great with appointment reminders and flexible when scheduling changes are needed. I've never encountered any issues here, and I’m thrilled to continue my dental care at Miles of Smiles. Highly recommend!

Good that dentist Scott Schmidhauser is not in this office anymore! I will come back. That doctor better not to work with people. And seems he gave this office a bad review himself, what a miserable. But probably better for the community keep him away from human beings.
