I’ve been going to horizon a little over a year now. I’ve lost 50lbs. A friend of mine told me about this clinic and a week later I was getting the shots. I saw results within a month. I haven’t felt this good about myself in years. I couldn’t have done it without this clinic and the staff that works there. Thank you all so much.

Dr. Brooks and his nurse practitioner are great! Each visit they offered advise, celebrated even the smallest victories with me and motivated me for the month to come. The tall nurse that wears glasses with the really long sandy brown hair is genuine and professional. The rest of the staff is like a low budget sequel of Mean Girls, with the older dark haired nurse with glasses bigger than her face as the ring leader. These few definitely have ‘targeted consumer’ they are after, and if you don’t really fit the profile you’ll definitely know it after a few visits. You can literally watch first hand how their tone and facial expressions changes between patients. I experienced on several occasions sitting in an empty waiting room for extended amounts of time just to watch someone else come in and go back ahead of me. I’ve watched the dark haired nurse call other staff to the side to have private conversation and then the staff return with totally different demeanor towards me. It gave me the impression that they suspicious of me for something that I haven’t a clue ?!? Almost like they thought I was seeking drugs or something to that nature. When in reality yes I have taken the oral medication for a long time, and just like studies show, I too had stopped seeing the results I originally had. But even though my weight was tethering I was maintaining without dramatic increases, and the medication did in fact still help reduce the food craving. I knew I should probably switch the medicine up Nd try injectables, but everyone can’t afford that method, so until I could find an affordable new option I planned on staying on the phentermine to avoid a setback and dramatic weight gain. Cause like I stated, the phentermine did help with the cravings and I was losing 1-2 pounds a month. And occasionally a bit of weight gain (2-3 lbs). But with all that said, in no way should I have ever felt less than welcomed to the office. For starters I’m a paying customer, choosing to spend my money at an ELECTIVE medical office. I never once was rude and confrontational if I didn’t lose the weight required to receive the medicine. And second, wether I should receive the medication or not is 100% NOT a decision for the nursing staff. That is between me and the doctors. The nursing staff job is to weight the patient in, check vitals and triage. I should never have felt like judgement was being pasted on me . Especially at a weigh loss clinic, where patients already battle confidence issues!!!! After my last visit I decided to not return. When my prescription was out I switched to a new clinic in Lexington (horizon is not the only option in Lexington ) after years of being loyal to Horizon. We live in a society full of mean judgy people, that unfortunately we have to deal with at no monetary cost at all, so I am definitely not going to pay money to go somewhere and be treated with the same disrespect. I do admit the whole situation is disappointing for me, I like sticking to what is familiar to me, and after being long term patient at this clinic its a shame that just a few could have enough influence to make me want to go elsewhere.

I love the staff & the serene setting. I’d like to give a special shout out to Sharon who has been dedicated to my personal care of reaching my aesthetic goals. (weightloss, Morpheus8 & Lumecca) It’s been a journey toward the best version of myself and she’s gone over and beyond to offer a superb level of attention & comfort to me. Her beautiful spirit & genuine personality always makes me smile. She’s the absolute best & I highly recommend her services.

I can not say enough great things about Horizon! I came in with a goal in mind and Sharon has not only helped me achieve that goal, she has been my biggest supporter and cheerleader along the way! I am now healthier and feel better than I have in years! Thank You to Horizon and a special thanks to Sharon! Y’all are the BEST!
