Shell Plastic Surgery

I had a significant surgery with Dr Shell and unfortunately it was not a good experience. My recovery was excruciatingly painful and he was unresponsive and unhelpful in managing my pain. It got so bad that I accidentally overdosed on pain medication. When I saw my primary care physician she confirmed that he was negligent in his approach. He did not listen to me or communicate effectively. The results are fine, not great. The lack of communication and listening were definitely not. Unfortunately I cannot recommend and wish I’d looked elsewhere.

Dr Shell is the best! I’ve been going to him for 6 years. Never over does it, never under does it - always just right. I love the security of having a doctor to call should I ever have any reaction or side effects (which I never have). Dr Shell’s staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I also like that his clients are all ages and include both men and women so everyone can feel comfortable. AAAAA+++++

My Breast Reduction Journey On March 3, 2025, I asked my neighbor, Melanie Belim, if she knew any plastic surgeons in the area. I assumed she knew the medical community due to her current work in medical billing. She stated, “I used to work for Dr. Shell in Oxford at Baptist North Mississippi, and he is absolutely the best!!!” Following that recommendation, I made a consultation appointment for April 8, 2025, at 08:30. Upon my arrival at Shell Plastic Surgery, I knew I was in the right place when I parked and walked inside an aesthetically pleasing facility. I walked to the front desk and was greeted by such beautiful and professional staff ( Kelly and Kim). My consultation was amazing!!!! I was so excited. I could not stop giggling at the thought of being on a path to improve health and esthetics. Nurse Practitioners Emma and Allison were kind and displayed excellent bedside manners. Dr. Shell was so understanding and humble. I was relieved when he said I was a candidate for the breast reduction surgery. Following the consultation, I met with Sherry and she explained everything in detail. It was a pleasure to work with Sherry. I told her that the practice was sooo beautiful and inviting. She stated Mrs. Shell was responsible for the décor. Sherry also escorted me to the medical spa because she knew I was into skin care. I enjoyed looking around and talking with Anna. Fast forward to my surgery date, November 12, 2025. It was the best decision I have ever made!!! Dr. Shell called me the night before to check on me and to address any concerns. He prayed for me before the surgery. Dr. Shell also called me after surgery to check on me. I went to my post op appointment on Monday, November 17. My surgical wrapping was removed, and I cried tears of joy because my results are so beautiful and elegant. I can’t believe how Dr. Shell transformed me. He has a gift from God. In conclusion…. I am thankful to now be a member of the Shell Plastic Surgery Family. Shell Plastic Surgery is an elite practice. I will be utilizing Shell Plastic Surgery and Spa for all of my future Plastic and Cosmetic needs. Thank you, Dr. Shell, Mrs. Shell, and the entire Shell Plastic Surgery Team. Such a great experience in Oxford! Emma was wonderful—professional but so down-to-earth, and she made the whole visit a breeze. The staff had that true Southern hospitality, and everything felt easy and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re in town!
