High Regard Tattoo

We weren't really looking to get tattoos quite yet, as we only recently moved back. However, when I found the opportunity to support a local apprentice my partner and I definitely wanted to do so. I booked my appointment with their apprentice Teresa via Instagram a week in advance, though the shop does otherwise accept walk ins. Unsure of what to really expect, we still showed up excited to be blasted and support an artist in their training. The shops little complex has a parking lot available, free of charge. The entire entrance is accessible, as is the shop itself. The first thing we noticed amongst walking in, was how actually clean the environment was. There's plenty of space, and available seating! No awkward standing in cramped corners necessary here, the paperwork for the appointment is simple and easy to understand. The process took maybe 10 minutes, while sterilizing and set up were being done. My partner and I spent almost 7 hours here, and we did not waste the opportunity to get to know the other artist. Ajay, Rico, and Miguel, were the ones in the shop mostly that day. They were easy to talk to, asking questions was no issue, admiring their art styles was a delight, and discussing plans of returning very soon was exciting for all involved. When I say the shop is accessible, I mean it, including it's restroom. With wide doorways and main lane through that left me feeling like I was DEFINITELY NOT in any ones way sitting there in my wheelchair waiting. The energy and sense of community that was built and curated here at High Regard, is nothing to scoff at. Every hour was enjoyable, every artist we interacted with was intelligent, passionate, experienced, and kind with some breathtaking works. The apprentice herself did a wonderful job, and deserves her flowers for her perseverance and growth. Communication was easy, and when all finished a healing skin was applied. The artist will go over the safety and care instructions with you, THEY ARE IMPORTANT. Whether you're walking in, or scheduling online, looking for flash, or wanting a large custom piece. High Regard is worth your time and money, they actually care about what their doing and how they treat you. This is easily one is LR's best shops around, but you can find that out for yourself when you stop by.

Miguel Cab is a fantastic tattoo artist—extremely professional and talented. He has done several pieces for me, including a cover-up, and the quality is consistently amazing. Highly recommend!

These were the most friendly as polite people I’ve ever been around. He actually let my son kind of talk him through and they collaborated my son plays music. He’s 17 and they did a note music note, but then he tipped that tip in for my son and put a purple heart because I battle Crohn’s and my dad died of pancreatic cancer and ain’t nobody got time for domestic violence, go see the guys and the girls there were the most beautiful people I’ve met. And he said as the redness goes down, the purple will shine through and he was absolutely right and for the life of me, I cannot remember his name, Marco I think if you go and show them that tattoo, I just posted it he’ll know he needed it

Haven't gotten my work done yet..I will update once I do.. but as of right now I have a very high opinion of this place. High Regard is one of the few tattoo shops that are open on Mondays. That's a huge plus for me personally. They accept cash and card another personal plus. David is the artist that I have dealt with and he is a legit cool dude. He has a super chill energy, but he also came off interested and excited to work with me. I made it clear I'm not very artistically inclined and would like alot of input from him. He instantly started coming up with ideas but was still open to my preferences. Super Happy so far. Post tattoo edit... it turned out better than I had hoped!! I will be going to David for the rest of all my work. He was great to work with. Patient, enthusiastic, he doesn't seem to smoke because we went about 5 hours or so and he didn't stop once for a break. He let me take breaks whenever I wanted tho. I appreciate that as I've seen artists that stopped every half hour to smoke and charge for the time. With the deposit the final price was right at 600 I feel like that is a great price for the work he did.
