Summit Dental Health

Dr. Kajal Desai and her dental assistant Mary were great during my appointment today. I was given clear treatment options, attentive care, and they were both extremely pleasant and professional. The two receptionists working the front desk were also very welcoming and assisted me through updating my insurance. Very happy to have their service at Summit Dental and will continue to be a patient!

I've gone here for routine cleanings the past ~year and a half. The treatment was good. But this recent customer service was so bad, I can't go back. I called in July to make an appointment for today, October 23rd (it was the earliest they had available) for a routine checkup/cleaning. Since I don't have dental insurance anymore, I also asked them to send a breakdown of cost for the visit so I could budget. Over the first call, they said they would email it over and never did. I called back on July 25th, and asked again. They told me over the phone that it would be $231.34 and emailed it to me while I was on the phone. Seeing the breakdown of cost, I asked if I could elect to not have the Xrays and Flouride Treatment. They said "sure, that is possible" and verbally quoted me $116 for the visit. I sent a follow up email to confirm and never recieved a reply. I guess I should have called back a third time. When signing in today, I asked at the front desk that the price has not changed. She quoted me over $240. I told her that doesn't match the sheet I'd been sent, even without electing to not have Flouride and Xrays. Then, someone from the back hopped in to the conversation and said they would not see me if I didn't have Xrays. Not that they were not allowed to, but they were choosing not to. News to me. My last ones were on October 3rd, 2024, and I'd been told over the phone that it was possible to not have them. Finally, they kept pointing out their personal dental plan for people with no insurance this morning. Fine and great, but maybe tell me over the phone 3 months ago. I'm frustrated because I am trying to get the routine/preventative care I can afford. It would be fine if I had been communicated all of this when I made the appointment 3 months ago. I called and emailed to avoid any miscommunications. But I got blown off my first call, misinformed my second call, got no response to my email requesting confirmation, and then treated like I was at fault this morning. Please do better.

Finally I was lucky a got a wonderful Dr. She helped me so much, so I don't have to get all my bottom teeth taken out. Everyone else said that they couldn't save any of them. She is a very good person and doctor.

They got straight to the point very friendly, Very good communication skills. They listen to everything you have to say. very professional. Highly recommend.

Was 5mins late for cleaning yesterday, rescheduled for today & THEY were 15mins late AND didn't even reschedule the appointment for today correctly so it ended up being a COMPLETE waste of time as I had to schedule another appointment for a cleaning. Mind you, the receptionist then had the stupidity (yes, stupidity) when scheduling the new appointment, to ask if was a new patient. SMH
